I probably received the same email as you and was looking through them, but noticed the ones I was after were setup for US/Eu - ie right lever rear brake, left lever front brake.
I don't think you lose any fluid and get air into the system if you do it right.0 -
The Le Col bibs are still in stock although you can't really navigate to the pages on the website. These are £60 delivered with the Strava code for the challenge that is ongoing now. I'm ordering another as the first are excellent for £60.

Thanks - really like their socks0 -

20% off everything on the Evans Ebay store.
Only just started looking, but for example, the Pinnacle Arkose Alfine is £800. Pretty decent buy at that price...
~10.2Kg
Tyre clearance for 700x45mm with mudguards
Mudguard and pannier rack mounts
No rear mech to damage on rocky terrain
etc.
Arkose X is there too for £720 in L/XL, with 1x10 drivetrain (38T chainring with 11-36 cassette), tubeless ready wheels and ~0.75Kg lighter than the Alfine model... Probably the better buy for many.
Great price on Lezyne Super GPS, ~£92.
The Pinnacle frameset prices might tempt some too.
Edit: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/oakley ... es-2929822 £90 using CLEAR2018 might tempt some you Jawbreaker fans.================

Thanks for that. Couldn’t pass those up for £60 delivered. Never had any Le Col gear before so looking forward to trying them out. That 103 mile ride on Sunday doesn’t seem so bad now.***** Pro Tour Pundit Champion 2020, 2018, 2017 & 2011 *****0 -

Daniel B wrote:dodgy wrote:I heard athlete shop have low prices but have difficulties actually delivering the goods?
Great price if you can get it, I paid over £700 for mine but it's a quality bit of kit.
I've bought a few fairly pricey items from them, and had zero issues - super fast despatch, and tracked all the way.
I appreciate some others report otherwise, but I guess that could probably be said for any UK retailer as well?
As in some people would have had a bad, or more than one bad experience.
Due to my lack of bad experiences, aside from the postage point that WB mentions (It has to be sufficiently cheaper than elsewhere or part of a bigger order) then I would return to them without hesitation.
Due to Daniel B's recommendation , I placed an order with them. They gave me a shipping date (which had a bit of a delay), but things were looking good. They have since contacted me again to say that they are out of stock and that they will not be in stock until some (not completed) time in the future and offering me a different, wheel based trainer instead.
A quick look online shows that people were complaining about this behaviour last year as well. I have emailed them to ask when they are going to deliver. Not heard back to my email of yesterday. Not very impressed so far, but if they come through, I will update...http://www.georgesfoundation.org

If any of the non-tickers bibs are still available in L by the time I get the challenge done, I might get them. Delivered to the office. SWMBO already thinks I have one too many.0

Damn this thread and all who sail in her!
I couldn't resist any longer so I've reserved some £10 crud mk3s to pick up in Purley Cycle Republic on the way home tonight.0 -
Can't for the life of me understand why I can't click and collect these mudguards even if it means waiting a few days. I've got a choice of a ~200 mile trip to either Carlisle or Peterhead to collect...0
-
Despite my click and collect reservation for a pair of these mudguards saying I had until 27th to collect, I had a random text on Monday saying reply to keep reservation for another 24 hours... Collecting tomorrow in theory having not replied!================

Yep similar for me. Seem to still have them in stock so hopeful they haven’t cancelled my reservation.
Could have done with them this evening. In hindsight not using the commuter bike with mudguards fitted was a mistake. :roll:0 -
I got drenched on the way to pick mine up. My bike already has mudguards though, I was just buying these because they're so cheap, they'll probably still be on the shelf in 10 years time and I find tehm again when we move house.
The lady in the shop commented on the amazing deal & said she had 3 more sets in the back with names on waiting for collection.0 -

If this works, having used the Ebay app and changing your location to Italy in the app and web browser, you can get 10% discount (up to £100) three times.
If the Evans Ebay automatic 20% discount is still running, it means for example you could get a L/XL Pinnacle Arkose X for £648.================

Perfetto light £70 as well, nice.
Ooh, good shout. Quite good discounts on the outgoing AW17 stuff now the 18 gear is out.
I've been hankering after an Alpha ROS jacket...
And after agonising for a couple of days I could resist no longer. Said jacket is now sitting on my desk. It is a magical looking thing of great beauty, and surprisingly soft and stretchy. And despite having an extra zip and a separate internal layer at the front, must weigh half as much as my old Gore softshell. The Gore is warm, and very windproof, but quite a simple construction. And when it rains it wets out and acts like a sponge. Wet through it weighs a lot.
I'm optimistic that the Alpha will be a big improvement in many ways. I may have to go out in the rain tomorrow morning to see how it fares...0 -
