^ Thanks for the link. Didn’t buy the gilet, but an Odlo Vlaanderen S/S Gore Windstopper jersey with DWR at £35 for the current weather, down from £120. Please thank me for the five months of dryness & warmth now due.

Ah yee buggers! Went for the above and the jacket (With 5.25% through TCB)
    Hoping they won't fit.

The Vlaanderen jacket? I can't work out if it's a long sleeve version of the short sleeve Gabba copy or something else. The materials are the same but the description very different. What do you think?

I couldn’t either; the description is copied from the Odlo website but the pictures seem to indicate the same construction. I took the view that my Norain arm warmers would cover the L/S need.

DanielB, I can’t work out whether you’re very hard on kit, have an understanding wife (& large wardrobe) or are clothing a team.

DrLex - all of the above (Apart from the team bit), but mostly it was Black and Yellow......

  • Not a bike bargain, but a cracking bargain if you are eligible...

"HelpToSave" account introduced by HMRC, if you meet the criteria (receiving Working Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit), you can deposit up to £50 per month. After two years, you get a 50% tax free bonus based on the highest balance the account had, can get the same again on the money deposited over the next two years (bit more complicated if you withdrew any money).

One-off, four year savings account, which both you and your partner can create separate accounts.

CS seem to be getting worse for their "dynamic" pricing. Back up to £60 today even though still in the flash sale. Good as I didn't really need one.

I heard athlete shop have low prices but have difficulties actually delivering the goods?
Great price if you can get it, I paid over £700 for mine but it's a quality bit of kit.

I hate t only option of £8 for delivery to the UK from athlete shop. Want some replacement ice spikes, which are £6.50, but the delivery costs kill it :-(
Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.

I've bought a few fairly pricey items from them, and had zero issues - super fast despatch, and tracked all the way.

I appreciate some others report otherwise, but I guess that could probably be said for any UK retailer as well?
As in some people would have had a bad, or more than one bad experience.

Due to my lack of bad experiences, aside from the postage point that WB mentions (It has to be sufficiently cheaper than elsewhere or part of a bigger order) then I would return to them without hesitation.

33% off chainrings at superstar til the end of the month with ANYRING

Includes a big range of narrow-wide chainrings in a variety of fittings.

Sods law of course dictates that I bought one last week just before they brought in the discount - I'd been running a regular chainring to try out 1x10 and was getting sick of having to put the chain back on the chainring at least once a ride.

I can report that the Raptor chainring worked a treat this morning - with 46t chainring and 11-36 cassette range is pretty much identical to a 50-34 compact with 12-28 cassette.

I've had that in my Watch list in ebay for around a month now. "Terrible" being the right size for bargains you really don't need.....

Hmm. Think I might bite the bullet on that.

Decided last weekend that I can't be dealing with mechanical discs anymore, so have bought a few bits to transfer groupset from current commuter to an old frame. Whilst also keeping an eye out for hydro brake bike with mudguard mounts.

Now to check if they office 0% finance...

If they do, fancy ordering me one as well? 8)

Oh and don't forget Topcashback or similar - adds up on a purchase price of this amount.

I would order one as well but can't get the British Cycling discount. Being from Northern Ireland we have to join Cycling Ireland but CRC originating from Northern don't offer equivalent Cycling Ireland discount, only BC. Go figure.... Can't even blame Wiggle as it was always the same
