Just spotted some Trans E70's on Evans for a decent price. Normally wear a size 9 in normal shoes. Do Giro's run true to size, or do they come up small\big?

The standard sizing I find to be true but narrow (which is great for me) so they offer HV (high volume) versions for sasquatch cyclists.

Edit: If it's the ones at Sigma then thanks for the tip, I've just ordered a pair as my Factors and my Trebles are nearing end of life.

Edit: It wasn't, but did you go for the yellow ones?

Yeah. Thought I'd better get them before Dan B gets in. Size 42 for me.

I have also searched and found two reviews, one of which says they run small, so size up, and one of which says they run large, so size down

What UK shoe size are you, and what have you gone for if you do not mind me asking?

EDIT: Wrote this before I saw your post above!

I find that Giro are slightly narrower than Shimano but wider than Sidi.

Confusingly, I take 45 in all of them

I find Sidi were right at the top of the toe box and so rubbed the tops of my toes. Shimano were tight round the heel and Achilles.

    Yes, 10.

Me too, or I like to think so anyway, even if we won't be allowed soon.

And also on the shoe sizing front - so I reckon I would be a 45 too.
Now do I need a pair - no.
I'm holding firm this time, and not ordering, despite the free returns and £5 discount.
*I bought a seatpost instead for exactly the same number of pennies.

Ta - I'll have a look (out of stock). Have just smashed the screen of my old faithful 500 - any other bargains about?

Might buy the 6quid speed cadence sensor just to see how bad it could be

If it's anything like the switchable magnetless "speed or cadence" dual Bluetooth/ANT+ sensor I bought from China the answer is "perfectly serviceable but unknown in terms of longevity"

Anyone had any experience (good or bad!) with Ribble bikes? Sports Pursuit have got 16%-29% off some 2016 models which seems good on the face of it. Looking to add to a lighter bike to my collection - only got the commuter at the moment so looking for something for longer weekend rides.

30 day test ride policy as well - if you can get it back in the original box!

They're along the same lines of Planet X.....Chinese open mould frames (if Carbon). As a shop they have a good reputation and have always had good service off them - and although I can't comment on the bikes themselves you do see a few of them out and about.

I've never ordered a bike from them, but ordered plenty of parts and clothes, and never had an issue.
    Returns are also fine.

I was under the impression their bikes had quite a good rep in general.

Never bought a bike from Ribble but always had good customer service as well as they are a good source for Campag bearings, pawl springs etc.

Giro Trans EC70s arrived today and they are lovely. Went to put them in the bottom of the shoe cupboard for when my Factors and Trebles wear out, and it turns out there's an unused pair of Apeckx IIs in there already.
