I'd go with Betty but I'd be thinking of Wilma.

I think that was the line from Red Dwarf.

Similarly, I'd go with a Foray, but I'd be thinking of a Synthe.

:D Seriously, IF you can find a £100 deal on a Synthe, get that. If not, get a Foray.

I have the Foray, and so do quite a few people in my club as its the right colour.

I fully expect to see these everywhere now at that price. It's great. Comfortable and good lines IMO.

What I would say, is that MIPs makes for a comfier helmet as it suspends the helmet off your head, so a Foray MIPS is a sound investment.

My Foray was £31 from Cycle Surgery after they procematched Winstanleys but included P&P hence the £31 tag.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Worth spending ~£15 on Toyota club membership and then getting 15% Halfords discount, making the Trott bike ~£305. If your employer allows you to buy vouchers at a discount than are accepted at Halfords, you could end up paying ~£270!

Can't order those discounted vouchers online any longer. Website states you have to phone them. Not sure how it works these days. They seem to have plugged a loophole where you could buy the vouchers online at 10% less than face value. Stopped that now.

I know it's the wrong section but I have an unused trott MTB for sale. See my thread in the MTB section, but I bought a small for my missus but it's too small (taken us 2 months to realise so unlikely to get anything out of Halfords). Would let it go for less than £300

R&D big tights now back up to 75 quid☹

Should really have got another pair at the lower price but hard to shell out now for gear that's likely to sit in the drawer for the next 8 months.

With the sun shining I'm thinking about new jerseys instead!

Take a look on the NHS Discounts website and register for it. You can buy Halfords and Evans gift vouchers with a 7 or 8% discount. From what I remember, they don't actually check that you work for the NHS when you register.

Exactly how I feel now I need some Pave CG's, none available anywhere, but had plenty of chances to get them at considerable discounts before Xmas.

Any interest in some new 27c Challenge Paris-Roubaix tyres instead? Just arrived on my Equilibrium Disc but they seem a bit over the top for my commute:

On the whole stocking up with bargains, don't do it! I've got a house full of bikes and clothes I don't need (including the aforementioned "bargain" Equilibrium)....

ASV overshoes down to £10 http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-asv-race-overshoe/ I like a wee bit of fluro here and there, also in ninja.

If your bike can fit 38s, do it, do it now!

Bought mine for £20 each last summer, now typically £23+, they roll very well.

Interesting, having just binned my old ones, and wanting a set of spares to replace the pair I just opened.

As more interested in "commuting resilience" vs "aero benefits", wondering if the ASV or the Aeron (in Navy/Green) which are the same price.
Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.

I sent my Giro Foray back, it just didn't sit well on my head no matter what I adjusted.

I've gone for a Specialized Echelon in fluro from my LBS for £45 so not too bad, fits really well too.

They look pretty similar I wonder if the zip or lack of on the asv is the only difference.

Just turned up and they are thin I don't see them lasting more than a season, depending on how hot/cold you run I'd say these are a better bet http://galibier.cc/product/depart/

Bit odd that advert - both wired and folding, both raceguard and tubeless-easy. I think it is a very old stock of wired, non-tubeless - which will mean it is not that much of a bargain. Checking - will revert

OK those G-ones are wired and not tubeless ready - so nice tyres but not so much of a bargain

Had a feeling they might not be the highly desirable ones at that price, but PX's info is diabolical at times!

It's been posted in "road buying" section since yesterday, but Wiggle have some Endura bargains, I bought Hummvee baggies with liners for £20 and a Pakajak for £13 earlier.
