Sigma Sport have extra 10% off sale items with KBK10. Makes Perfetto short sleeve (mk1) £73.13, not bad. Quite a few sizes and colours in.

Edit: Potenza jacket/jerseys at £110 in small

    +1

I tried the Cannibal ones, which are meant to be easier for access on small frames on the seattube, but because they grip the bottle so tightly, they are actually more difficult, so I went back to the custom ones.
I have them on pretty much all of my bikes, except the turbo one!

Blimey I am glad I got 3 bikes bought in the last 15 months

Would like one more for the turbo, but will probably get that on cycle to work scheme, or the cycle in the garage scheme.

@L2R, are you going to try a small potenza, or not going to go there?

Nah, don't think so. The fit is just "different" to other Castelli tops which tend to be tighter. Even if Sigma did free returns, and the small was marginally better, I'd be likely to make a small loss on selling the medium second hand and it's not like I don't like it in medium. Wfh today so gutted I couldnt wear it on a ride, sunny but chilly in the wind here.

Cookie Monster - Looked at a Trek Domane SL6 disc last weekend. Nice bike but price seemed way higher than last year, and sounds like going up again.

  • Yeah, it's just getting used to it being different. More, as said, utilitarian.

I think a lot of kit has gone up in price recently. The Pro Lite Revo's some on here (including me) nabbed for £160 are now £450.

I don't know if that's Wiggle trying to recoup some of their loss' though...

To be fair they were always around £300 on wiggle - it was essentially a lack of scrutiny by the pricematch staff who were matching them for price against an inferior model on Ribble.

But yeah, pro lite have gone up pretty dramatically. The Garda which was £130 ish on Wiggle is now £150 (but can still be had for £80 on brick lane bikes...)

Of course, it's all the fault of the 52%....

    Sorry, I knew they didn't retail for £160. They've gone up £100 (£350 to £450).
  • How much did Treks go up today?

Me and a friend have been looking at domanes...a £1500 and £2000 one went up by a hundred, a £3100 one by two hundred.

For no benefit i.e. nothing upgraded, just a currency revaluation :(

To be fair, Specialized were far worse. One of their Roubaix's went from £2400 to £2650 without warning recently
  • Bad, but not awful. Sonos price increases were pretty much 25% on Play 1's (£150 to £200). £100 on the playbar.

I had my eye on a Cambridge Audio streaming seperate from Richer - £700 last year, down to £600 for about 6 weeks, now up, but not to £700, up to £800.

No way I am paying £800 for a streaming seperate, when it was £600 mere weeks before, so need ot find another cheaper solution now.

Couple of Dale items at Sigma - plus the 10% discount.

Shame it is in a dull as ditchwater colour, much as I appreciate it technically does not matter for a winter bike, and potentially could even be a benefit.

Not bad for less than 400 notes though.

Tis. My bad. I'd meant to say up to 25% on the range. The actual increase in rrp on a 1 was 169 to 200. I paid 135 in the Xmas deal so 200 is a huge increase.

I've been seriously tempted by one of these since they first came on sale, not sure I can hold out any longer with the extra 10% off! Main thing that has been puttting me off is the cost of road hydraulics.... need to check sizing too....

Out of interest, how would PDW mudguards fit to a disc-specific frame? Do you not lose one mounting point at the front brake, as the fork isn't drilled below the crown race? And don't you also lose one mounting point at the rear, as the bracket that attaches to the rear brake bridge is also missing?

I already have a spare set of mechnical disc brakes, i'll fit the shimano to the front and caliper to the rear which my SRAM rival groupset, then if i fancy it my other disc to the rear, unless of course there's no rear bridge for the caliper, I couldnt see from the pics.

either way I only need to buy new wheelset which i have to anyway, this'll be my new commuter
