Is the price on the gels too good to be true? £3.95 on an RRP of £42.95? I'd worry about the use by dates at that rate!
Gels go forever, I'm not even sure if there is anything natural in them which could go bad. Maybe you should team up with some local cyclists the you can split the box/cost of postage between you.
The price of the Vector 2 looks very inviting, I'm wondering if it would work without the left pedal...

Pretty sure some bargain SiS ones I picked up had a short shelf life but for a few quid it seems silly not to. Mate of mine is a runner so will take your advice and split the cost with him - cheers!0 -

I'd guess that's the reason they are discounting them. But what do you think will happen to a gel when it reaches it's use by date? They don't suddenly become hazardous waste. I'd guess they'll still be fine this time next year...
I don't use the things myself, I'm a fig rolls and jelly babies kinda cyclist, but if I did I would take a punt on a box at that price...0 -

I'd take their rrp with a pinch of salt. IIRC yesterday, Tweeks had similar Isogels for £9.99 and Wiggle about £15, so it's not a massive saving, but good if buying a few as I did. I had a chat with someone online and asked the question if they were cheap due to short sell by date, and he said no it's just a great deal.0 -

I've gone for one of these from Canyon to replace my ageing Edge 500. Looks like a gargain to me for £80.

I nearly jumped at that as my son's after a GPS and was debating an Edge 520 for £170. But having done a bit of homework I think he'd want the newer 'Enhanced' version which will do Live Segments on Strava plus give you turn by turn directions if paired with a smartphone. Only came out last year so it's £130 everywhere, but it looks/sounds good. DC Rainmaker gives it a glowing review. And with the £40 he saves he can buy a Rapha sock or something.
But if you don't want those features, the older unit is a bargain at < £80
Thanks for the heads up Keef. Not having done my homework properly, I would have pulled the trigger on the old one thinking it was the one DC Rainmaker reviewed but turns out Canyon´s eurozone clearance pricing (much higher than in Sterling) was a blessing in disguise.
It seems the old one has recently gone for 60 quid and 60 euros, PBK and Futurumshop(.nl), respectively. Perhaps it is worth waiting for similar deals in the future.0 -

Hopmans seem to have the lowest eurozone price for the new Y10 version at 130 EU bucks. Looks like lunch and satnav shopping in Bergen op Zoom in the middle of my next 200km+ ride then...

Should be fine with an XL, I'm just under 40 and take an XL. Pit to pit it's pretty much bang on 20 inches and 16 inches at the waist. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Not sure tbh. I've not had a Gabba. I did look at it in store once and to me it was more a less just a shell, whereas the PTJ is fleece lined. It's worth noting it's different in cut than the old PT jacket. I had to go up a size to get the right fit - XL in new, large in old.
There are also a few changes - the new one has a shorter neck which leaves more exposed to the elements, but ok with a buff, and the sleeves are much shorter in length.0 -

More like their version of the Alpha jersey. Softshell front. Non-softshell but DWR treated back. Probably not great in very wet conditions but superb on fairly cold and dry or drizzly days. More breathable than the Gabba I would assume.
