Of no use whatsoever for helmet mounting. So I rang them and asked that, since they'd randomly changed the spec of what they'd supplied, if they could randomly change it again for this:


and they said no. So unless I can think of a way to use it, it will have to go back - and if it does that I won't be bothering with another. I suppose the alternative is just to get the helmet mount and ignore the redeye but it seems a pity. Of course, if they were designed such that you could replace the cable with a shorter one.......

Lol - not quite! A lot of MTB stems will be too short for a direct stem mount.

Got a Sportful Reflex 2 jacket, not breathable in the slightest but, windproof/water resist & looks spot on for commuting @ £14 price-matched with Halfords saves my gabba for club rides too..

Not sure how long they've been on there but spotted today that Merlin have got Shimano 105 5700 chainsets for £75 at the mo which is pretty bargain cheap with free delivery (am sure the Quidco boys can do even better).

Bit limited on crank length options but have just pulled the trigger on a nice new black compact which although 2.5mm shorter than current cranks, may in fact help with slightly dodgy knee (and more importantly, look better on my new frame of course ).
