They might suddenly get a bit common in london. Two of the guys in the office have just bought them, should have kept my stupid mouth shut.

Balls to worrying about that. Just buy it and enjoy it!

Anyone know a quick online tool where I can put in a few geometry measurements between two frames so I can work out what size I should get.

When I was at school we were taught to solve this sort of a problem using a ruler and protractor...

Talk me out of or into this guys.

I love my Felt, and am refurbing it pretty much top to bottom, but I have always thought the 56 is a tad too big for me, as I have long legs (34" inside leg) and a comparitively short torso - I am 5ft 10 overall.

I will have spare wheels available, spare seatpost, and saddle come to that, and if I wanted to bung standard bars on I have those as well.

I believe the F70 is more of a race fit, and the Cr1 is more of a comfort orientated bike - the only thing I'm n ot sure about is the colour scheme, it's a little grey eh?
I suppose with some carefully chosen bar tape and saddle etc it can be spiced up.

If I were to go for it, I am thinking of a 54 - what do you reckon?

EDIT: I think this is it 18863_original_1.jpg
    And my Felt: http://www.kemmett.com.au/F70/F70_spec.html

    Cheers

    Dan

So I rang Westbrook, who were very helpful, and given my dimensions he has suggested a 56.
When I said I felt a bit stretched out on my 56 Felt he said a 54 might be the safer choice.

Given that it has the taller head tube I am now starting to wonder if it might be ok with the 56 :?

For the guy who asked about the geometry

They said they are expecting a large delivery of Scott frames tomorrow...

Any more sizes of the Scott Addict HTC Columbia Road Frameset (2010)?
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles
  • I too succumbed after a day or two of dithering, to a Ltd. I'm a bit worried though as I placed the order early this morrow and it's still in the "payment received" stage.

I bought an Addict SL frameset off Westbrook two years ago for 1100 quid and thought I was getting a fairly good deal. C0ck.

As Meanredspider already mentioned, Scott, the silly Swiss sods, recently bent over before the aero- and doctorbike fad by binning the original much-hailed top Addict and by launching the Foil, which has the geo of the former. The CR1 SL has a much more relaxed geo, meaning shorter effective top tube and a mahoosive headtube. Scott top-of-the-range nomenclature has been a bit confusing over the past few years. Suffice to say that Addict Ltd/SL/RC/R1 are all one and the same, bar ISPs or lack thereof and bottom bracket shells. Yes, I'm a bit of an Addict.

They've since realised the error of their ways, and the Addict is being raced again.

So you like the SL !
I take it that your SL is same pretty much as the 2009 Westbrook one ?
  • Yes it's a 2009, although the press-fit bottom bracket version.

I suggest checking with them - phone/email : I emailed them a couple of times today and got very quick responses. they do sound like a good place to deal with which is a plus on top of the frameset deals themselves.

I placed an order on Wednesday afternoon for a small and then cancelled that order and ordered a medium Thursday morning. Hopefully cancellation went through.

I did the same... Ordered an XXL on Wed arvo and changed to an XL on Thu... The guy said they wouldn't get the delivery until today so they won't even start the delivery until then and over the weekend....

As I said above, they weren't even expecting to get the frames themselves until today and it'll probably take them a day or 2 to get them out of the door...

As a happy Foil rider, I'm intrigued by the words in bold. What's the problem with the Foil? (Other than Cav complaing about a sore bottom and some people reportedly having seatpost trouble.)

I ordered mine yesterday and got a text and email yesterday to say it would be here on Monday if I wanted it. I guess it just comes down to what was in stock and what's due to reach them over the weekend.

No just that the parcel will be delivered. There is an option on the text to deliver to next door. You could collect it when the coast is clear.

Anyone tried using flubit for the Westbrook Scotts ? Wonder if there is an extra saving to be made (more than via Quidco ?) and also how long it might take to get their price through - if it's too slow they'll all be gone at this rate ?!
Already missed out on the Addict SL which I was going to spring for since I like to pretend I'm a real pro and can't ride any of these softy sportif-type frames but the CR1 SL is a bit more hard-core as it's the HMX version plus it's 3 years newer than the Addicts on offer.

I created a demand this morning for one. Lets see :)

    flubit offer just through :
    Takes it to £483.53

Is it possible to also use cashback on that ? If so, and it's 5% then that would drop it to £459.35

No you can't. It is either but not both. I would take cashback though as it is a £10 more :)
