You are the same height as Asprilla but with a longer torso. Torso length fits to the top tube so I'd say it would be strange for you on that basis to have a smaller frame the Asprilla - if anything bigger would be more appropriate but I think you'd need to get specific about your measurements to get any further.

I'm 5'8 with 29.5" inside leg and ride a 54cm CR1. I certainly don't feel too stretched out and wouldn't go for anything smaller. I've had the bike for a year and would highly recommend.

Holy crap, that's insane if the discount is honest. I've just ruled out an Enigma Esprit with Athena for £2.4K and am all set to try an Athena Wilier GT for the same price. I reckon I could get a Chorus specked one of these built with some decent wheels for not much over £2K. I know nothing about Scotts, but will get on and do some research sharpish!

I pulled the trigger on the CR1 as well. Was dithering over getting a bike on the cycle to work scheme, but decided this bargin and savings on parts would be cheaper to buy and pay off myself rather than being locked into the scheme for 4 years!

I went for a small, 5ft 7 and a 29 inseam (tailoring, not bike measurement). So hopefully the right choice.

Was hoping to fit with rival groupset, but unless I can find for stupid money, might have to settle for the easier option of compatibility of shimano 105 with the included BB.

If anyone spots any good bargins on groupsets and other build essentials please share. Best I have found so far is Fudge Cycles for Rival and Ribble or Merlin for 105. Really need to get the build in as cheap as possible before the other half kills me! Luckily getting some wheels temporarily from mates, so bit of a saving there.

Looks like half the forum will be on Scotts this year. Hopefully Westbrook have the stock to fulfil the orders! Keep checking my account to see if status of the order has been updated

Does anyone know anything about fitting Campag to a BB91 frame? A quick Google gives me nada, short of BB91 is Shimano...

    See about 4th item down

Seems you can get an adapter for bb86 to campag. BB86 pressfit is the SRAM equivilant of Shimano BB91. So the frame will accept a GPX BB86 pressfit BB and then use this adapter. Not sure if you can get straight adapter from the included BB from Shimano to campag. But you should be able to buy a new SRAM style BB86 and the adapter.

*All this is based on very limited knowledge and wisdom and all facts should be checked before purchases are made

Couldnt resist at that price. Spoke with them today and there's 200 frames coming into stock Friday and half are sold already via the net. I'm 5'11" and gone for a Medium.

Ha! Looks like a Scott CR1 builders thread might be needed. Anyone spotted any useful reviews to help me make up my mind? I found a few for the 2010 model, but nothing later. I'm also slightly confused as to what the frame is for: comfort or speed.

Talk me out of or into this guys.

I love my Felt, and am refurbing it pretty much top to bottom, but I have always thought the 56 is a tad too big for me, as I have long legs (34" inside leg) and a comparitively short torso - I am 5ft 10 overall.

I will have spare wheels available, spare seatpost, and saddle come to that, and if I wanted to bung standard bars on I have those as well.

I believe the F70 is more of a race fit, and the Cr1 is more of a comfort orientated bike - the only thing I'm n ot sure about is the colour scheme, it's a little grey eh?
I suppose with some carefully chosen bar tape and saddle etc it can be spiced up.

If I were to go for it, I am thinking of a 54 - what do you reckon?

EDIT: I think this is it 18863_original_1.jpg

Has anyone tried to order their frame using Flubit? You can probably get an extra £40 or £50 off.

So would it be fair to say, and by looking at the frame dimensions, that it is not a 'Sportive' bike as such, as the geometry seems very similar to my Felt.

My concern if I buy a 54 is that I may end up having my seat WAY above the bars - they are already a fair way up on the 56.
The 56 appears to have pretty much identical geometry to my Felt - unless I am missing the obvious?

Although reading this BR review http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/bikes/road/product/review-scott-cr1-team-12-45967

It seems to suggest that the bike has a taller front end - which could equal out the increase in saddle height - anyone have any opinions on my dilemma?

It is like a quick spec in case anyone wanted to know how much a full build will cost:

    Scott CR1 SL - £499 from Westbrook
    Shimano 105 - £399 from Merlin
Eddy Merckx AMX5 Carbon Finishing Kit - £120 from Planet X
Eddy Merckx Carbon seatpost - £35 from Planet X
    PEdals - £45?
    Wheels - £200?

Total £1300 - if you do deals through Flubit though I bet you will be able to get it cheaper.

This isn't Ebay. No major retailer is going to start flogging hundreds of fake frames.

Nope, but they are a reputable shop. My brother has dealt with them without any problems in the past.

Don't get one though, I don't want them to run out before I decide whether I'm brave enough to bite the bullet (it's just whether they are truly Campag compatible that I need to look into).

I soon ditched them anyway after ITB pointed out the weight penalty of rotating them.

Are you all going to to get matching kit to go with the matching bikes?

Would it be wrong to get one and put the old hybrid kit I have on it?

HH, I'm 6' 2" and was unsure of whether to get the 56 or 58. I would not go for the 61! After some serious dithering, I'm going to go for the 58 with no spacers (or perhaps 5mms worth depending on the bars).105 is my plan, Mavic wheels, Deda finishing kit. Budget £1400

I'm hoping the frame box will fit under the spare double bed as my plan is to hide it with a kingsize duvet over the top...

Glad to hear it comes with a BB, thanks Meanredspider.

So I rang Westbrook, who were very helpful, and given my dimensions he has suggested a 56.
When I said I felt a bit stretched out on my 56 Felt he said a 54 might be the safer choice.

Given that it has the taller head tube I am now starting to wonder if it might be ok with the 56 :?

Yes. If you put the flat bars on it I'll buy you a drink just so I can see ITB's reaction. Hell, I'll even help you do it if the chain fits.

Oh, and for everybody else I got my 105 groupset from Ribble for £375 for the Kinesis, don't know what deals they have at the moment.
