Could be worse. You could have been late, then found out you forgot your helmet and when you finally DID get out on the trails you snap a spoke.0

Thanks for the great ride today, it was brilliant and cool to meet you all. After a couple of slight crashes I think I need to start improving the old tech skills, but the climbs today were pretty cool and I was glad I actually rode a few 'scary' drops.
I'll def be up for more riding (crashing) in the future.0 -
Pix or Vidz, or it didn't happen. What could have been (Video)

It didn't happen , I was an illusion, moving through the flow of single track with a manic grin like some otherworld banshee........
I need to stop the beers after a good ride
Good one gentsDon't think, BE:0 -

Woot? Richard went even gnarlier than before? If he did, I suspect something not right there. You haven't been freeriding, or had you? There is very fine line between aggresive xc and freeride. I am speechless, really.
This Tue-Wed have days off, if anyone interested in some epics be it Wales or around London I am up for it.
Hopefully this upcoming weekend, if weather permits will get out for a late lunch ride as well. What could have been (Video)

Joking, some steep roll in bits and smallish jumps but mainly fast singletrack and stuff.
Up for Sunday next weekend (I think) but can't do weekdays cause I'm back at school on TuesdayAnd now you know, and knowing is half the battle

Chaps,
Count me in for the weekend if you're heading out again. If anyone fancies a midweek Surrey Hills jaunt let me know, 'cos I'm off work this Wednesday and could easily head out.0 -
Being organised as I am, I didn't get to my LBS before they shut, so my plans of a sneaky early morning ride are out unless I swap the BB from my hardtail before then.0

Heading out Sun morning to Swinley! I really need to get that feeling back. Allmost forgot how is it to feel the flow. Crying and missing final Skyline descent. What could have been (Video)

Sadly I'm tied up with stuff until after the 12th. From then I'm good to go.
Anyway looks like a whole bunch of new faces here . Hope the usual suspects aren't getting too addicted with Wales to do the local stuff0 -
After short ride round Swinley found out that HT are awesome. Even if I had to set it all up between trails again after changing the fork it was worth it. Taking some air with HT feels something else, so direct hitting. Early morning in Swinley felt like heaven. After 9.00 though saw sunday warriors regroup at car park, and whole atmorsphere was lost, at least I was finished with the ride.
Question to those in the know, what the hell did I do wrong in this movie ? I suspect I allready know the problem, but am open to your flames. It's the end of Telegraph Road. Had to learn those sharpish take-offs. I did session it later on and didn't have any problems afterwards but what's your opinion? What could have been (Video)

ohhhh bad front wheel land.
Not sure but the First guy uses the jump also as the reception. so he naturally has the right angle.
As you are going alot faster you cant. But guess you d need to play with weight distribution to level the bike in the air.
you looked very cramped up... nearly as if you were sitting and not really prepared. and too much on front wheel and forcks kick you off. thats my thought.specialized enduro 06 gone snif

Your positioned on the bike like your hitting a drop off (arms stretched, bum over back etc) so youve let the front wheel drop causing it to hit the ground first. you need to bring the bars closer in and level, maybe practice at a slower speed.0 -
@popstar - looks like you've been taking nose wheelie lessons from thel33ter.His was much more spectacular though. Yours was rubbish.I don't do smileys.

By no means I would go over the bars on that sharp take-off. I did intentionally force front wheel to land first, but guess cos I was turning-leaning into take-off pulling all weight onto the left side, that what did it for me. I think. What could have been (Video)
