New wheels arrived - v nice but Presta valves, have loads of Schrader tubes, but only one patched Presta. New tyres haven't arrived yet so looks like on old bent one for the weekend.

As said, Bungalistic is your man for Epping. Maybe those of us "south of the river" should give it a go, who haven't already that is.

But read a few posts up. Bungalistic just bust his collarbone.

Anyway, many of us ride Surrey Hills on a regular basis, sometimes Swinley Forest. I do Tunnel Hill occasionally, and there's Aston Hill for DH stuff also which some do.

Oh and Esher Shore, but the place is closing down and getting bulldozed at the end of the month!

I'll pass on this weekend, I would only get around an hour and a half before going back, doesn't really seem worth it.

guys most of the link are bery close to where we are meeting.

basically get to coldharbour and you cannot miss the pub, best route to it os from Dorking along Coldharbour lane.

the direction from bromehall road also works but you need to keep going on the road to find the middle of the Village.

Might well be. If I can ride there solo (pretty sure they said pairs only last time) I might even ride there on Sunday for a bit.

Glad to hear you lot had a smashing ride with Richard. Going this Sunday to SH most probably will start 12-13.00 from Peaslake Walking bottom car park. As it stands now, me+helter heading towards the trails. Shmikuk, how is afternoon start time for you?
Forecast looks as if from 3.00-12.00 showers, but after 12.00 towards midnight dry spells.

Cool ride today did pitch and holmbury, with my young apprentice.
she is good tackled all the t trails any thing she couldn't do, she d start over till she could. and took my enduro to go down BKB... screaming yelling I wonder if she didn't close her eyes... but good speed for first time.

Popstar, if you were in the area hearing screams in forest was my apprentice having fun on very steep roll ins and roots.

soon she ll be ready to follow the group.

I saw helters car at peas lake.

I d advise the specialized purgatory. its a 2.2 hard compound 60/70a but got tonnes of grip . really impressed.

Had a good ride with Helter. Did ride all tourist trails on Pitch, Helter did get lost, but by accident discovered nice flowing trail too. Finally sessioned YogPots and did ride aggresive sections of it aka Parklife. Nice drops down there, Helter was awesome. On BKB though, we were a lil insulted by some Sunday warrior rider, so had to give him a race. Had a most silly crash on last berm and plenty of blood, but Zesty didn't dissapoint and smoked down that fuel ex in no time. Result.

Will be up for something at the weekend, but not sure what. I need at least one day out of the BH weekend to sort out stuff at home, but still leaves two possibles.

And a 'maybe' for an evening ride this week. Soggy Swinley perhaps .
