Excellent ride, even if I did bail early. Nothing on Holmbury would have stacked up against the trails we did anyway - great choice DK. Took a while to get used to slimy conditions again - give me dry and dusty anyday.

Seconded, a good ride. I stayed on for Holmbury but after Barry's was done. The other guys carried on to do Pitch though!

I come from Rhyl but I have lived in flat ol' London for over ten years now. Then again, I still climb fairly quick so perhaps you're right! (I think. If I'm decoding this all correctly!)

I have heard of that BMX track but not yet visited. Is it full of kids on BMX bikes? I think I might feel silly taking it on with a 160mm full sus but would appreciate some practice on those rollers and tabletops.

Free all weekend, will fit in with your times. Hopefully my bike will be squeak free and less annoying now.
    Thanks for the help.

Just an FYI for Surrey Hillers: Barry Knows Best on Holmbury Hill will be closed all day this Sunday (15 April).

As far as I'm aware, in WLondon there's BMX track and normal cycling race track (Hillingdon and in Southall) + Extensive network of canal tow paths. Other places have to be reached by car.

Would love to show around but these days it's a rarity for me to be able to join gang.
    What could have been (Video)

I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though

Still a maybe for me. No uplifts left but can try to blag a spare seat and also do the XC a bit, and/or push up. But may have a meeting that day instead. Will see.

This weekend. Up for Swinley, Surrey Hills, or both.

Good news Arigold is in need of a ride - presume you could fit him in your car?

He's in Guildford, but presumably he could make his way across our way. I was planning on leaving about 8 to get there about 10.
I bought a ticket for thel33ter, but not for me. I planned on doing the XC and maybe one or two runs, but a day of uplifts would be wasted on me.
Still OK for Swinley on Sunday?

I'm confused (not hard I know). Is anyone riding Sunday? New lid and knee/elbow pads are here so need to test them 8) . I hear good things about Swinley but have only ever been with the wife and about 6 of my daughters friends in tow so it was fire roads all the way (BORING!!!).

With BKB being closed this Sunday my planned ride of WBCP up to the Pots for some more torture and then BKB back is stuffed. Weather is not going to be good enough for more photo's for the book project so Swinley is looking good.

QECP could well be worth a visit in the near future as well. Easy and quick to get to now the Hindhead Tunnel is open.

Swinley is excellent as long as you AVOID the fireroads. I'm free, was just waiting for Ben to confirm and make a time. Thel33ter is also back from holiday and wants to go out in the afternoon. What time were you thinking?

Any time suits me. As long as I have enough warning so I can work things around riding then it's not a problem usually.

I'll have to pick thel33ter up, so easiest for us to start from Bagshot end - meet at Clubhouse instead of Go Ape? Around 1pm?
@Andy and DK - can you meet in Bagshot - College Ride backs onto Swinley. Can send you directions if it's OK.

Yeah, that's fine for me. Up by the tennis courts? Might be going from that side more often anyway once the parking charges come in.

The tennis courts will be fine. If it's busy (which it never is) there's parking up the road.
Andy - just up on the left from the A in link. (I think I have your number, but PM me anyway just in case)
