If Popstar sees new steed in town, he must prove dat Zesty is fast nevertheless. Infact so fast that leaves Cooldad in dust and wondering all around the block. Sorry CD.

Check his facebook; he's in hospital and has been since Saturday. Some fractures in his spine and obviously some issues from getting knocked out but the prognosis is good from what his brother says.

I'll be about Wednesday if you're up for a ride at Swinley?
Looking at the weather forecast, the morning might be the best option.

just checking in from the arm and a leg that is hospital internet. Yep, not in too good shape but sound like it's mostly superficial. Face bust up nice and spine a bit twisted. All kinds of needles stuck in me. Dazed and cofused but nothing unusual there. Have zero memory of what happened. Was it that area with he two drops? last I remember was playing around labyrinth. wasn't thinking I'd be up to anythin too serious. Ah well.

Welcome back, we were getting worried.
Although I am a bit peeved at the extremes you went to to upstage me. I want some needles and IC as well.
    See you Sunday?

Nope the drops were near labyrinth on the other side of the fireroad we sometimes push up after running labyrinth. We had been down one of these runs and were pushing back up when we spotted some drops, gap jumps and roll ins.

You'd done a few roll ins off the gap style jump so tried the smaller of the drops, speed was plenty but the nose just dived, then you vanished from site for a second until I came to see what had happened.

ah, have vague memory talking of doing them, but nothing beyond that. Didn't think there was anything too serious there. Oh well, learnt a hard lesson even if I haven't worked out what it is yet.

You up to visitors? If so I may pop down on the way home (let me know if you want anything bringing in)

yeah no problem. they only do them between 6.30 and 8pm in this ward (F5, frimley) during weekdays, longer at weekends. may have the folks here but no prob if it's a short visit. they might let me out tomorrow. Have to assess my walking skills which are a bit shot. Amazing what a bump to the had and chest can do. Think I'll be off work for a bit. Expensive given I'm a contractor. I really should consider insurance for this kind off thing.

will have to discuss the next bike, now I've had a proper crash out of the GT. Jedi skills surely a must but I'm scared off doing it now.

okay for things but need the folks to bring clothes as all I've got are five tens, bike shorts / cycle shorts and t-shirt.

Lesson is too lift up front wheel and lean back when going off a drop, you hit it fast enough, was very unlucky to go as bad as it did, hope you heal quickly and don't let it put you off too much.
