If I aim for 9.30 then I'll be there at 10
We can always catch up by the tower. Though on second thoughts it's blowing a gale this weekend and it's going to be freezing hanging around there.0 -
You must stop blowing your girly southern blouse from Cornwall. You are now, one of us ... tougher around Londoner boyz. Pft.What could have been (Video)

Count me as well in for tomorrow guys. Really looking forward to getting out and about! 10 would be better for me and where is it exactly that we're meeting?0

Hey guys, due to some technical difficulties we didn't get a chance to ride Saturday so we are going to try (if we find the place) to ride with you guys.
If someone that is going could text their number in case we get lost it would be much appreciated. 07523448884

I'll probably be there from about 9 or so. The trail I snapped my spokes on that time needs finishing so I'm going to try to find it again and give it another go. That said I've stuffed myself like a pig tonight (BIG recommendation for the burgers at Meateasy in New Cross BTW) so God knows when I'll wake up.0

Good ride today until Cooldad decided to attack the ground with his head.. After 20 minutes of "Where are we?" ''What Happened?'' "Is my bike broken?" "Where are we?" "What is a tower?" ect., we managed to get down the the car park, quick check-up from an ambulance guy, a trip to the walk in, probably a new sticky plaster, a brain scan  , and he'll be fine. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

Yeah, good ride, nice group and a few new faces (to me at least). Kudos to everyone for rallying around and I hope all is good at the hospital.0
-
Definite proof that helmets work. Was a good day anyway even if dramatically cut short. Hopefully he should be fine. Going to have a bit of a headache I bet.0
-
Uh oh! ... Hope he's ok, keep us updated.
Was at Swinley for an impromptu ride with a couple of mates yesterday, nearly went headfirst over the bars myself a couple of times, deep puddles and roots are a killer this time of year. As always, thank god for the protective gear._______________________________________

Sorry for messing up the ride guys.
Still alive anyway. Thanks to everyone for not leaving me to the wolves and bears etc.
Special thanks to Alen and friend (who I'm embarrassed to say, name I didn't get) for getting my car and bike home. And thel33ter I suppose, but he could have walked.
And Majid for carting me around hospitals and picking me up later to get me home.
Bike doesn't seem too bad - bent mech hanger and probably trashed saddle. Mech looks ok but too painful to check properly.
Walk in clinic in Woking was great - straight to front of queue and arm stitched up (or sticky taped anyway).
Referred to hospital for Xray on my shoulder and scan on my head. Waited a few hours, got asked a few questions, and they told me to come back if I die or something. Pity I wanted to see what the remains of my brain look like.
Head seems fine, hole in arm, big lump on hip, bruised ribs and shoulder in agony and won't move. So typing this with one finger on my left hand, normally use one on each hand.
New helmet bought, same as the old one - did it's job, so I'm happy.
Hopefully can get the bike fixed this week, and be out again soon.I don't do smileys.

Need a tensioner for my SS, may get a super cheap mech and mod it, but in my search for Ideas I found this 8) A tensioner made from a spoon.

Hope you are all right and get back on the saddle quickly. And remember poidh. This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit.0 -
I am sorry to hear Cooldad's misfortunes. Hope CD recovers well and joins our gang soon. Nice to hear that DKenny didn't die from cold weather as well. Suppose the most pissed off person was - Thel33ter.
So here this is the present to Thel33ter and Cooldad. MTFU up and hope to see you soon on trails! This sunday Popstar's visit.

CD I really think you would benefit riding with Jedi gang. Most of us converts big time, you would even may understand language we speak. Didn't film Jedi's special -Alpine training- quarry , but that is something else in terms of *risk assesment area* ... really liked it there. What could have been (Video)

High *Five* Tony.
@Cooldad , that 1.07* drop off into mini wall ride looked so you, but I would be pretty much pissed off if you chose to occupy that Sofa 2.20* instead. What could have been (Video)

Cooldad, you have no reason to apologize if anything you saved me from eventually embarrassing myself by passing out from exhaustion. Think of it this way, everyone usually gets one really good crash per year and you got yours out of the way early.
It was great to ride with everyone today.
P.S. popstar me and a cute little cross country bike were waiting for you and that big bad full suspension bike of yours for some dh action but you were MIA0 -
Surprisingly I ride spesh hardrock these days. So that makes Alenk overbiked!
To give myself more credit further, even after I changed break pads they vaguely work. But who needs brakes on good flowy trails? At least think my XC fitness would improve things further. What could have been (Video)

I was looking at training with the Jedi as my B-day pressie, but the lack of a car means its hard to travel the 70odd miles there and back within one day, also saw that they can come to you but i don't know directions to all the trails yet alone so it would be rather silly to do that.0 -
Well I'm up for a group session. Have car with space for a passenger + bikes. Was going to join up with Atz but can't make the dates, but I'd be good for a 2 or 3 group session some time (just not end Feb to early March). The alternative is one of the public days. There's a jumps & drops each(?) month, though missed this months and next month is the 28th and won't make that.
Anyway, plenty of time this year. Will make it at some point.0 -
Supra and I have a date booked (12th March) which we could divvy up a bit for 1 or 2 more people too depending on requirements (we're looking for specific help with drops, jumps etc)0
-
In all honesty after seeing Jedi temple and where bikes get ridden, I haven't seen to this date any place to be built in the same purpose built way. I mean, some peeps are Rad to the power of gnarl, but I doubt those rad ones will stand up to the challenge of -Alp training- . It's not realy Red Bull slope style trails, but it's pretty impressive.
Thinking from learners point of view, it is heaven to get core skillz. Berms, flat corners, rock garden, drops, mildish jumps with transitions into berms. I really would highly recommend to get basic training first before going into jumps/freeriding. And that's from been there, done that experience.
Trust me.What could have been (Video)
