I think these are the newer version, already have a split in them that securely refastens around the cables - http://www.sprockets.uk.com/576/Jagwire-Tube-Tops.html
I had some of those on my cables (they come with Jagwire cablesets), but somehow 2 out of 3 managed to fall off.0 -
I'll glue mine on :twisted:0

As a slight sideline i live about 3 miles away from where titanium ore was discovered, there is a plaque in the parish church to reconise the discovery0

Aww - can't have a special Ti + C badge instead of a 2/3rds Ti one?
Note to self - must post on OCP thread and get double Ti/OCP badge!0 -
We still need our own jerseys.
If you have club experience, and know of any websites to design and order your own....

I'm getting jealous of how many people have titanium frames, now I know what to spend my money on in summer.0

What's wrong with a CAAD9, they are better than Litespeed Ti frames?0 -

After snapping 2 Canondale's I tend to avoid them....0 -

what is the problem with them? I know some of their aluminium frames were shocking, but thought their Ti frames had a good reputation? I haven't owned one, but did like the look of some0 -
Sabbath - Silk Road Pro

The thing is, most manufacturers have had / have issues at some point. There are several stories on the internet about Litespeed and many other Ti frames failing, expecially around the BB/Headtube area, although most of these were several years ago. It didn't put me off buying a Litespeed.0 -
Thx NapoleonD0

Moaner
+ve
Sabbath is a lot stiffer and faster than the VN - average ride speed goes up by +1 to +3 mph
-ve
Not as comfy for long rides (2 hours+) as the VN due again to the stiffness of the Sabbath
If I had to save one bike from a burning house it would be the VN as it's such a great all rounder.

Hi, a bit embarrasing but I've an Airborne Lancer up in my loft.
I'm tempted to bring it down and polish it up and post a pic.
Whats the best product to polish it and bring the best out of it.
Bought a Titanium framed bike as I have a chronic back problem [spondylolisthesis] and no regrets as it is extremely 'forgiving' to my back.
Only problem is now I've been diagnosed with a herniated disc in my neck, thats the reason it's been hibernated in the loft.
Anyway tips on polishing would be appreciated, I've got a few bits and pieces I want to swap and I'm determined to get back on it [after the Op].
This Titanium part of the forum is a great idea, well done to gthe founder/s
Cheers, Scurry0 -

Hi mate,
Welcome to the Ti club!
I find a good starting point to polish up the Ti is by spraying some WD40 on a lint free cloth and wiping the frame with it...0 -

Endura had their own club clothing brand called Tal, or you could try Impsport. Sorry, no contact details...
Maybe we could get some instant iron on hem and iron tin foil on an old jersey. Nice and shiny like Ti and probably waterproof too.0 -
I have used baby wipes to clean away the muck. Wipe with dry cloth and then small amount of baby oil seems to do the trick. On my Yukon and Euros.0

Great thread, plenty to drool over
Here's my offering
Planet X Ti Sportive frame
Enigma Ti Audax fork
Everything else moved over from my old Audax bike;
Paul Hewitt built wheels, Open Pro on Veloce hubs
Mix and match 9 speed triple Campag drivetrain
Record chainset
Chorus front mech
Champ rear mech
Everything else Veloce
This was intended to be my fine weather bike, but I like riding it so much that sooner or later it will end up with mudguards, a sadlle bag and lights.0 -

First time I've tried to post a bike pic on here. Comments ( and badges if I could be so bold) welcome. Hope you like the scaffold plank on sandpit to overcome the lack of white garage door by the way.
Forks are Reynolds Ouzo Pro full carbon
Bars stem and seat post are all from FSA in Carbon
The Saddle is a Selle Flite Carbonio.
Headset is FSA
The Brakes and gears including the cassette are all Campagnolo Record.
The Wheels are Campagnolo Eurus fitted with Continental Force and Attack tyres.
Pro Carbon water bottle cages from Aspire Velotech.0 -
Not the greatest pic, but I enjoy cycling, not photography
Enigma Etape, Centaur groupset, Kysrium Elite wheels - and I know I need to flip the stem, but recent back problems mean I can't just yetCarlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0 -
