ive toned her down a bit. black headset and black conti grad prix tyres. may ditch the gold tape as there is way too much gold at the front. also red and gold look lovely together

If it didn't cost so much to replace the headset and get some brakes I'd probably do it :D
brakes with free 50 gram skewers £99...... gold cnc cables £30 ......... headset £40
i work that out to be just more than a tv license and a large frozen turkey ....... i known what my choice would be

Hmm, I'd have to get a CK headset which is about 100 notes but I'll have it about the PX Brakes!
ck headsets are guff ,especially gold ones. mine lasted less than a year although i did fit it with a house brick. my next headset will be the lovely golden hued crank bros titanium directset

    I love them!
  • Van Nic Aeolus.

  • I'll be getting a custom Burls touring/audax frame and fork in 10-12 weeks! But then I have to build it up.

I promise to put up a picture when I get it!

It is indeed. I dont like the green graphics it comes with. You need a steady hand when it comes to applying them though. I opted for blue although in hindsight I think black would look better.

    Excuse my stupidity

Those bikes are all the same colour (more or less)

Is that the raw material colour, in other words are the frames unpainted?

    Titanium things I own:

    - stem
    - saddle rails
    - watch
    - very very sharp knife
    - razor blades
    - USB hard drive

Anyone got a titanium bike chain? Do you notice a difference? They are the lightest around...

You have razor blades and a very very sharp knife. Is that for very very tough banana cutting ? (JOKE).

Forgot about that. Are Ti cassettes simply to save weight, or do they actually take longer to wear out too?

Ti cassettes last a shorter time than steel.

    You mean density?

Only superlight cassettes are made of Al alloy anyway, they don't tend to last long either.
