Nice bike Shortfall. My personal opinion is it would look better with shallower rimmed wheels.

I agree. I originally ran Zondas and tried the Bullets as an experiment (I got them on a deal at Ribble for under £500). The Bullets are fast on flat parcors with no wind but everywhere else they suck and ruin the springy titanium feel. So I stuck the Zondas back on - best wheelset I've ever had.

Bike looks too long for the rider, looks like a short stem as well. Nice bike though.

    Nice bike and nice shot.
Are the Planet X logos stickers, or are they etched on?

The Planet X logos are sand-blasted on to the titanium. They're fairly discreet

Bike is incredibly comfy even if the set up might look odd to some, I've ridden numerous 400km days on it and felt no back or knee pain :)

I used to have one of them, the rear brake bridge was too low (manufacturing defect for quite a few built at the time) and mean 'fag packet' clearance for mudguards. I was compensated by PX but I eventually sold it :?

Yeah the Full Metal Fenders from Portland design works are the only guards I can fit. Didn't know it was a defect, I'd have definitely harangued Planet X for a discount. I love the bike though, so comfortable

It was loosely based on my 54 Supersix Evo with a slightly longer head tube and a horizontal top tube. I wanted a kind of traditional looking frame that climbs well and is reasonably stiff..

    So far so good!

Nicely executed and specced, very lovely indeed!

Like you, I ordered my Burls ti with trad straight round tubes (except that bi-ovalised downtube) and it looks fantastic. You cannot beat the purity of a horizontal top tube frame.

Mines in its 4th year of abuse and looking as brand new as ever after a few thousand miles.

Paint job looks excellent and I regret not going for the integrated seat post. You've got to love the Ti, can't really see myself riding anything else..

    BTW who did the paint?

Thanks for the comments , this was designed by me around the Bianchi oltre i had at the time i knock 10mm off the top tube and bingo it was perfect me ! its tight at the back though with 25mm tyres , actually finding my sram red calipers an issue on 25mm tyres the gap is very small and if small stones flick up they get caught up between the tyre and caliper.

Design decals myself and had them diecut , the blue is actually car wrap you cut it and stick it , then shrink to fit and it looks like paint , it hard wearing as well. plus if its damage it you can just replace it .

got to say these frame as very well built , perfect welding and finish , the di2 holes and head tube are a work of art
