Depending on your perspective, that may be a profound or mundane observation.

  • The profound thread is on 99 replies. If I could think of something profound I'd post it straight away and bag the century!

But I can't think of anything so I'm posting on this thread instead.

I put so much petrol in my car the other day, I couldn't get in it.

I saw some nice tiles in a shop window yesterday. They would look nice in my bathroom, but Christmas is coming up and I can't really justify the expense.

I think my wife wants to go to DFS and look at sofa-beds and a footstool. The 4 year deals they offer seem very agreeable.

It looked like mud on the down-tube, but when I washed the bike it turned out to be dog poo. I wish people would clean up after their mutts, even in the woods!

    'i' should be 'I'

I have many empty cardboard boxes in my loft, just in case I need to return any of the items originally in them. Even though most are well out of warranty (the original contents, not the boxes. As far as I know there was no warranty given or implied on the box).

I know I'm far too late to this thread but I do this too, I have no idea why, there's some boxes for worthless shit that I've had for years in my loft I'm sure I'm not going to take that £5 fan I got from dunelm in 2003 back now, but I'd better keep hold of the box just in case.

And in the spirit of the thread:

But a cold snap will kill off all these nasty bugs & stuff!
Apparently mild winters explain a jump in the rodent population.
My bike shed is infested with mice. I've caught 11 with
3 traps since mid October. Even my dog caught another 2!
Oh and I caught a cold! Bring on the snow....

I can't decide whether to have Weetabix minis or scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast.

Has to be the former; as every cyclist knows, you just have your Weetabix and get on with it (*).....

I know it's un-seasonal but really must cut my grass. Unfortunately my back garden hasn't been dry enough for the last couple of months & I'm lazy.

Im having a chicken roast for tea with rosemary roast potatoes, swede, carrots, broccoli and sweet potatoes. I parbolied the potatoes and use olive oil when roasting. I also make home made gravy using Mary berry's technique. Bread sauce too.

..are you entertaining the same companion as when you perfected the prawn cocktail a few moons ago?
  • I was embroiled in a spreadsheet task at work the other day that involved a lot of wheel scrolling. I changed the wheel scrolling speed via the "control panel". It markedly increased my efficiency in completing the task, and shortened the tedium for me.

I found the whole situation mildly satisfying.
