LOL. According to you it must have been Kloden that pulled Lance solo across that entire gap.

Andy has to try again but I'm not sure mentally they're recovered from that.

    What about Thor Hushovd?

The Official Tour site live graphic has him in an exclusive group of 1 at the back behind a pack of 148 riders.

Wow. What a day. And we thought nothing much was going to happen!

Wonder if Brad will have a crack on the descent?

    Cadel's lost time.

AMAZING ride by two men: Lance and Wiggins.

An impressive save by Lance, but surely better not to have had to do that at all. A few more digs like that tomorrow and his 2nd place is looking risky.

Saxo must've backed off a fair bit and be keeping something for tomorrow.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Voigt falls, that's a horror image. Not sure what happens, looked like his forks broke?

Agreed - nobody went all out on the attack - lets hope for more tommorrow. Hope Jens is ok.

Poor Jens. I can't see him recovering from that quickly. Bad news for the Schlecks.

What? He couldn't even drop Moreau and Dave Z. I could drop Dave Z...

    ...well...

    Astarloza's taking a flyer now.

Good battle at the front. Who will win? If the chasing group makes it to the front four, AG2R will have two riders and Roche is a strong finisher. Fedrigo is also strong.

Goubert is in his late 30s but has not one a single race as a pro, maybe it's his day but the stats suggest not.

just been reading the live reports - this all sounds v.exciting. chapeau to Wiggins, up there with the v.best in road cycling - he could go far. LA, well chapeau to him but I wonder if he's thinking, sod this next year, I'll stay in the team car

Yes, Lance was dropped by 30 secs approx - good mental strength to get back - great ride for his age.

If Fredirogo gets back, I'd go for him in a sprint - not sure he'll get back though.

DZ Nuts and Wiggins - what a combo. I wonder if they have a cunning plan for today?

    I know Paul was impressed.

    Great finish looming here.

Terrible for Jens. He didn't slide much at all, considering he was doing 50 mph - that makes it one big impact.

    Shame.

One of the best descents there is imo. I've ridden down it a few times but not at their speed!

That Perec Fredirigo's legs are huge - not good for Pelezotti in a sprint

Torrential downpour knocked out my Sky signal, missed all the exciting bits, got it back just in time to see Voigt's faceplant. Damn :(

True that about Downhills - mentally tiring.
