I'll be doing a detour tonight to MK to see the 2009 Tour Series so that should add another 30+ miles on. Anyone else going that way?0 -

That's because I didn't cycle into work on Wednesday - had to go to Birmingham - thought it would be too far to cycle, though I wish I had now!0 -

Nor me - I've got 15 miles still to clock up. :P0 -
Hmmm... lead of 8, + 15 exceeds my 21. Tssssk. I could always take a wrong turn near Marsh Gibbon I suppose.
Tyres - you should be able to fit two names in. Try it and see where it truncates. From memory I think it's 1000 chars. Might be 255 or even 50 tho.0 -

You might be alright - I might decide to hop on a train - depends how late I end up staying in central london tonight.
Might get 60 or 70 in on Sunday though.Tyres - you should be able to fit two names in. Try it and see where it truncates. From memory I think it's 1000 chars. Might be 255 or even 50 tho.0 -
Yep I'm planning another 100 sometime over the weekend and as much as the weather will allow on Monday, the Highclere/Dragon Ride sportives are coming up and i'm a week down on my training, no pain no gain.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

2x more than me this week but I did have a tarmac/body meeting last weekend which took me out of the game for a day or 5I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
The tiniest of things - Chris, the table should be in BST rather than GMT!0

Okay, so, dividing the total mileage by the number of punctures suffered, it seems that we average one puncture every 1371 miles. Not at all bad, that!
(luckily ITB and his "I don't bother with tyres, me, the tubes can do a perfectly good job on their own" approach are not included in the table because, let's be honest, they are so far off the scale something MUST be happening, like his wife sticking pins in them or something)0 -
Thanks for reminding me, my journey home was so grim last night i'd already decided that if the PF came knocking I would just keep on going, I was that cold and tired.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

After yesterday's fiasco on DRL I'm cycling again - however grim the weather might be.
I ended up walking from Canning Town to City Airport in the pis.s.ing rain, hungry, thirsty, with sore feet, I arrived home at 11.00 pm.
Never again - DLR can go stuff itself!0 -

hi Chris
Been off the bike for a while due to a few health problems (backs and viruses) that seem to have dogged me this year, but on the mend and back on the bike now.
As a result had nothing newsworthy to post. To get myself motivated I have entered a 50 mile charity rode in Norwich next week.
I'm not really ready for it but WTF I'll give it a go!
I'll catch up on SCR later to see what you have all been up to
Cheers

I can't believe I've only just found this thread! What a fantastic idea - and a brilliant way to get me to MTFU and get on the bike...0
