pfft! there are 215 weekdays remaining............(not including today)

Did you really need to encourage the opposition? It's hard enough trying to keep up with him as it is!

Yeah well my attitude is that there's no point sprinting at this stage - may as well take it easy and still be in the game come December.

don't worrry... once you get used to sliding down the table it's quite nice and relaxing. I even walked into work today  to keep my legs fresh for the gym this evening.

Oddjob - someone's hijacked your account. The crazy man posing as you is saying that you walked to work on a day like this.

    Does. Not. Compute.

I was going to keep quiet about this, but I can't: I've got 90-100 miles planned on Sunday. 100. Get in.

  • @CJCP : interested you're tackling bigger mileages this early with July still a way off.

Don't know if I'm ready for that but with the Dragon in June maybe I should push another 20 miles or so onto Sunday's ride ...... make it at least an 80 maybe ....

    Two reasons:

    1. July isn't that far away - only four months
    2. More significantly, I rarely get the opportunity to do these distances, so, when the opportunity presents itself, I gotta take it. I can't do structured training plans. :)

It sounds like we need to be doing at least a 100 miles this weekend just to keep in touch...

In other news... I've just purchased a replacement for the crappy hybrid which I have been riding on - a Surly cross check frame and various bits - damn the Wiggle platinum sale!
  • I see LATE CHARGE has just revealed themselves.

658 miles on a Pedalo for March.

With Exercise bike, turbo and rollers all included in his ride types

Don't you mean when you get a day pass which is hard to come by? :) You must have been a good lad this week!

I hope to do a 50 on Sunday, I'll see how I go.

    Have a good weekend folks.

Like I said a page or two ago, Late Charge is my test a/c, or was. I'll delete him in a bit - I'd kept it quiet; lesson learnt. Shame.

Shame too that the buffoon who thought it might be a larf to skew the figures by promoting Late Charge with a load of made up miles and silly ride types left his calling card in the audit trail table. I know who you are...

You've spoiled it now! I was looking forward to some serious mileage for Late Charge between Christmas and the new year.

It was most unusual how I came to get permission to do the Surrey Rumble.

I hadn't booked anything, had only mentioned it in conversation to test the waters, then, when Mrs CJ was planning her diary with a friend, she said "when's that race of yours?" "Eh?", "That rumble thing." <hiding my utter astonishment> "Oh it's on 6 March". As soon as I got home, it went on the kitchen calendar. :D

@Running Man - I should add that it won't be a quick ride; it'll be very steady indeed. It's my first metric century of the year, so there'll be no pushing it.

Shh it is not windy at all, The fact that I rode home for large parts in 52x11 is down to my power and nothing else.
