Found out after the latest little one it can be a proper PITA choosing a name for a child when you've already used up 4 for the same sex....

Hmmm - might want to tell her that she's named after an action hero, rather than a dog that never appears on screen, no?

Hehehe, I was kinda joking. We didn't set out to name her after Indiana Jones *or* the dog, but my wife and I were thinking of names for her and it went something like this:

Me: India? That's quite nice; sort of exotic without being outright strange, and it will be uncommon
    Wife: Yeah, I like that.
Me: (jokingly) Or we could call her Indiana, after the dog!
Wife: Yes! Indiana! Let's call her that.

But yeah, she's named after Indiana Jones I suppose, as he's the character we all know.

    Anyway, as for daft names:

My gf was named after a prostitute, and our dog is named after a board game (actually she's not, she just shares her name with a board game after my gf wouldn't let me call her Dracula).

Well thats rubbish. Duff Pappy is a failed drug dealer (he lasted 48 hours and bottled it). He went to Howard but dropped out to become an intern at Uptown Records.

I can't stand Duff Pappy. The only 'rap' he's ever done that I've liked is the line where he says "Tell your friends to get with my friends and we can be friends" in Big Poppa. He has produced some good songs though.

    Athena doesn't make the list?

Also your wife is Irish. Give your kids proper names

    Blaithnaid
    Diarmuid
    Eoghan
    Domhnall
    Seamus
    Padraig
    Caoimhe

    Simples
“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!

Simples being an common meerkat expression not a name

And yet not inappropriate in that list... How curious.

    Siobahn
    Niamh

Neither are pronounced as (I) read them!
