Near a town called Alençon, I mianly ride Forêt Domaniale De Perseigne because the house backs on to it. loads of places to ride all un-maintained, so a bit of luggin bikes over fallen trees and such, great thing is you never run into another sole apart from the hunters who close off a section and are easily avoided. There are loads and loads of other places to ride within an hours drive just zoom out on google maps to see what i mean especially south of Le Mans .

well we are looking at a ride in 2 weeks mate,i need to get my fitness up a bit b4 we go,aint been riding for 3 weeks and giggsmaster left me for dead on road the other day,and thats not like me,lol.......hopefully meeting up with quake on tuesday or day after on kingswood for a chat and a few beers if you can make it......

If you dont mind, im at uni on a wednesday until 5:30 in Hull, i could pop along and meet you all if thats ok?

Should be up for doing a ride on the moors or dales in a couple of week. Would be a good idea to meet up and ride sometime soon!

Probably would get my mate to come too!

no worries mate,we are looking at doing peaks i think,as it drains a bit better then the rest,but we can all meet up and see which place ppl want to go for a ride..........hoping to try to get sumthing that aint to boggy with all the rain and snow we have had....... hopefully get a few of us to go on a ride,and should be good fun,think we might all have diff riding abilites,but that dont matter,its just being out and riding with like minded ppl......

going for a ride with bro on road monday so ill see if hes ok for wednesday,and quake can meet up with us anytime after 5pm as well,he only lives round corner from us so he knows what pub we are meeting in for a beer and a chat.......

just have to give you directions to pub we are meeting in mate,prob see about meeting up about 6pm then.......

ill come on here sumtime on monday and give you a heads up if we are ok for wednesday mate......and give you directions on where to meet,it easy to get to from uni,as long as its uni on cottingham road???????

Sure mate, know kingswood/hull fairly well. just drop us the directions on here or in a PM. I goto Hull school of arts in town, but i usually drop a friend home in Cott so i will be coming from Bev rd anyways.

Aye, shame its not like the land on the isle of skye. Just got back from a week riding there and it was very dry despite it raining most days!

well you just head down bev road till you come to a roundabout,where you can turn onto bev by-pass,turn right there,then go over a bridge,straight on at next roundabout then first left at next roundabout,pub is on youre left,ill make sure giggsmaster is ok for meeting up mate 2mor..........and by the way,i 4ought i was the only nutter up at this time,lol

I've been knocked for six with a cold just can't seem to shake the bloody thing. I've already past it on to a few people so I'll keep my head low until its gone.

I went for a quick ride today just to get out the house and some one has been busy building down North Ferriby way. Every time I go up that hill something has been smashed down or built.

Hey altern_8 sorry didnt reply a while back, first time back on here for a couple of days. Went for a ride at Dalby with Quake and friend from kingswood on sunday, was mint but i was proper knackered from the word go basically. Hopefully thisll improve over time now i can get out n bout. Would like to join you guys on Wed down at pub but dont think i can make it, if you come up with any ideas dont suppose you can keep me posted.

P.S sorry to dissapoint but sadly im not the legendary Rory The Tiger for city, although im strongly thinking bout takin up the position.

no worries mate,glad you got out and about with quake and friend,they only live round corner from me and giggsmaster but aint met up with them yet,lol.......

at moment me and giggsmaster are just doing a few road rides round hull,as i have to get my fitness back up as aint been out off-road for 4 weeks now,so i need to be a little bit fit before go out a week on sat/sunday.....we are hoping to meet up with quake and matt from brid 2mor night but aint heard anything back from them yet?????

we will deff be going on a ride as i said above..........

and there was me thinking we could get free tickets with you being roary the tiger,oh well.......pmsl.....

That sounds good mate, i'll have a word with my mate and see if he wants to join us. Im going to be biking around Guisborough again on sunday, gonna try a few new routes, let you know how it goes.

no worries mate,and the more the better.........we worked out a route round mam tor and then branching off to do a ride which takes you down to derwent reservoir,start in castleton and fin back there......think we are off up on to moors on sat if we can find a good route(decided this morn),lol

Like altern8 says we are going to do route from Castleton over Mam Tor, across to Derwent Resevoir then back through Hope. There are a couple of good rocky descents and it shouldn't be too boggy if the rain doesn't hold off. I've only managed to do a kml file through Google Earth for the route, so if anyone is interested in joining us and Matt and wants the route to have a look at, then just give me a pm with your email and I will send it across.

If anyone fancies joining us this Saturday for a ride on the moors, just let us know. Still deciding on the route but probably somewhere around the Rosedale area.

did 17 miles today up on moors,only took us a hour and 20 mins to get there.........some hard uphills but all on road,got a top speed of 35mph on a downhill......got lost a bit as we was trying to put two rides together as we didnt come out on a road where we 4ought we was suppose to,lol...........but the downhills made up for it

quake>it was only 30 mins down the road from dalby turn off as well mate......and it wasnt muddy/boggy anywhere as it was hardly rode,lol

did 12 miles around Wycoller in Lancashire. Very muddy and well rutted, but fun all the same
