    Mounty/Turvey - it's at Hopton Castle, near Craven Arms. If you have a look on multi map you will see a Mountain Bike parking area in Hopton Woods - that's where we are meeting.

    Turvey - DO NOT BE LATE! :evil:

    I for one will not be hanging around in the cold waiting for you to turn up. It's polite to be on time :wink:

    didn't really go to plan

    At least we all squeezed in a few extra miles....eventually, all good fun! :D

    Thats just great.................I'm really gonna have to hang up my spiderman pants now.............................spiderman no more! :lol:

    I promised I would go easy.......pull up a chair…. :-)

    One upon a time there were a group of mountain bikers and they had a big family day out together in Hopton Woods..........

    Now mummy biker had arrived early to get the bike and trip ready for all the other little bikers.....

    One biker arrived.....then suddenly another biker somehow managed to get stuck in a field after losing her way (no name and shame…….yet)....then shortly afterward another biker rolled in only to find that she had left her saddle at home and could not ride without getting a sore bum!

    Two other bikers had man flu and decided that they could not make it....or may be it was just too wet for these so called mountain bikers..:-)....I guess we will never know....;-)

    Then the big day out started.......mud, mud, mud, rain, hail stones.....more rain....more mud....cold....mud, rain, mud, mud, rain, mud......then finally after a long hard days ride....we made it back to the cars only to find the one and only glimmer of ..............

    SUNSHINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The three bikers that had made it to the big day out lived happily ever after a drove home in to the sunset. The End.

    Now who was spiderman who suddenly changing outfits to be superman to fly off to rescue a damsel in distress ("biker stuck in field"). Oh yes, name and shame - twas Mounty! What a hero :D

    Was a good route and look forward to doing the extra loop on a sunshine day.

    It was a good ride....a kayak would have been better towards the end ! lol.....2 things I learnt from yesterday's ride......1. waterproof gloves as I could not feel my fingers. 2. Pretend to leave the saddle at home, just in case !! :lol:

    It was a good ride, the views would have been great, we did see a little bit....but it was a shame we didn't do the extra 8 miles, someone wimped out, but I wont mention any names, but I am sure someone else will ! ;-)

    I will NEVER moan about the mud in the Wyre ever again ! :shock:

    Yep...Muddy certainly likes to challenge us...Dodging falling trees, wading through mud o and don't forget riding through the torrent of water gushing down the hill side (it was a river!!)...it was good fun thou thanks Muddy

    Anyone fancy CYB next weekend ?

    I will be going down early Saturday morning (April 10th). Then camping overnight, returning either Sunday night or Monday morning, depending on the weather ;-)

    I can't ride this week at all, only got back today so having to work.

    Mounty how about doing CYB May bank holiday as i'm in Bala and could just drive up for the day

    We are camping there for weekend oh and playing on Formula 17 racing catamarans (for a laugh)

    Had a good weekend of riding....rode Long Mynd on Monday, not done that for a while...I really enjoyed it, windy as hell...........but very dry ! ;-)

    Lots of climbing and a few good bits of singletrack, going to go back and get to know the area a bit better...the views were very good too! :-)

    I think Muddypuddle was testing us to see how tough we were.....and who would crack first.......sadly it was me... I just wanted to save the 2 sarahs the embarrassment. ;-)

    Andy - Bank holiday - might be around ;-) Off to CYB this weekend, all planned & booked up! ;-)
