cheers for the replies Mounty & Moggy,
had a feeling it'd be a "need to know it to find it" scenarios. will definitely come begging for a guide in the future. we're both appallingly out of shape at the mo though, so a couple of months training'll be needed so's we're not a complete embarrassment.
    thanks, ad

Mick, Sassy isn't that bad, well about my speed so you've got something to judge it on.

If I EVER get that slow, the bikes will be up for sale before you can even blink!

Me and some of the other Clent Duffers (TM) are doing the wyre tonight, 7PM from the Duke.

    See you there, Silver Volvo!

    Neil,

I was thinking/planning to do it sometime in September as I always take the first 2 weeks off as holiday.

Recently orderd the C2C book, but there are loads of other useful web sites...we also figured doing it over 3 days. Camping would be good and probably the easiest option, as it is such a popular route.

Graham (g_b) has also said he would be up for it too, so I guess it would be down to when all of us could get the time off work, family commitments etc.

I would also do this trip for charity/sponsorship, just a personal thing, might as well raise some cash along the way...

I really want to do this trip, so sorting out all the details is a minor detail.... :-)

Sarah/Clent - I should be around, I will know for sure later in the week, work permitting, around 12pm.

Also, it looks like I will be down in Barmouth on Thursday 8th April until Monday 12th, camping etc, so I will doing CYB at some point.... :)

If anyone else is around or interested...

I've got a road bike, well hybrid I find it very useful for hanging my for ever increasing collection of tyres off :)

Had bike issues, rear shock was sitting @50% sag likely got the bike a 64degree head angle which means it just can't steer in mud at all and not enough weight over the front.

Still didn't get 100% travel out of the rear shock to, strange!!

So where were you guys? Afraid of the dark?

The girlies had a great time sliding around in the mud, tree hugging and attempting to ride a bike with one gear. Twas a good ride - very warm and only a slight shower of rain towards the end of the ride.
