Hey i'll have you know I got into the office at 13:00 which just gave me enough time to make the company BBQ gobble down a couple of steaks and back at my desk for some light shopping / entertainment before we start beer Friday in the office free bar.

Good to see you folks last night shame the evening was spoilt by spending it at A&E
Slipped, bashed my shoulder on the hand rail producing a nasty crunch sound followed by manly sobs ;-(
6+ hours and an xray later I'm pleased to reported no broken bones but I have pulled the muscles holding my shoulder and collar bones apart by 2 very painful cm.
So that's me off the bike for the next few weeks and no doubt any fitness I had gone too.

+1 for the GWS. A bit sore myself today- certainly not as badly injured as you though. On last night/this morning's FNRttC, went down rather hard on Reigate Hill (as in down on the road, unfortunately). Haven't a clue how it happened, I was knocked cold and my memory's a blank for the incident itself. I can remember starting down it, next thing I'm lying on the road. Right hand knuckle was cut up pretty badly, still bleeding as I type this (!) - one handed, basically, at the moment (left-handed, thankfully!), elbow dressed, right thigh aching, took a bump on the temple....
More annoyed by the damage to the Viner- rear derailleur a bit scratched up, cable end cap on the RD taken off, right pedal thoroughly scraped (logos etc removed). Frame thankfully appears intact, I shielded it again I think. I've been down there enough times before, apparently I clipped a cats eye. Bleedin' hill........!!!Dahon Speed Pro TT; Trek Portland

Thanks Jon. Went to the NHS treatment centre this morning, wounds all looked at, cleaned up & redressed as necessary. The ambulance guys did a great job in the wee hours of Saturday, but they had to improvise a bit with the dressings, ditto my mum on the thigh wound that they hadn't done for some reason. All as they should be now, right arm's in a sling now (just to keep the hand up a bit & therefore heal up better). The hand got X-rayed, nothing broken thankfully, though the prang cut it up in nasty-looking fashion. I'm to go to the GP Monday/Tuesday to get everything looked at again. Will be off the bike for a few days....!!Dahon Speed Pro TT; Trek Portland
