Ah if you're all turning up at 6 I'll bail, since it's been an unbelievably slow day at work and I ceebs to be hanging around for another hour or so.

    Football on Friday innit.

Sitting outside pub with bike is preferable to football, natch.

I'd love to, but I think I'd be newly single if I went out on Friday.

For this one day of the year, I'll have to accept that as true!

I've been drinking with the same group of friends every Wednesday for 25 years. Acceptable excuse for a no-show used to be a guaranteed score with a new girl. Now it's changed to the EPO's birthday or our wedding anniversary. We're all getting older.

Young's website doesn't list the Morpeth as showing live sports.

XC weather currently showing dry and bright, tending to sunny for the hours from 4-7.

Which I checked before I asked the question again...

Well I'll be there for a bit at least, first time down there, will I need to lock the bike up or just sit out front with it? Usually leave my lock at work...

Perfect! Gonna be quite the headwind home anyway, the less weight the better (or at least, can exchange that weight for a beer or two).

    Beer Friday anyone?

Doesn't have to have to be Morpeth, if someone has a better suggestion maybe with Olympic Big screen as Friday looks like being sunshine and hot..

I have to be in London for the rest of the week, could be tempted for a sharp half or two.

If the 'peth is too difficult I can recommend the mulberry bush down on the south bank down by the ......oxo tower ;-)

3 People make a party, but I'm not going up the Oxo tower with either of you.

Shall we stick with the Morpeth or go for the Mulberry Bush? Both are young's pubs.... What's the bike parking like at the Bush.....

Could be tempted chris, finish at 5:30 so could be there (morpeth) for a pint at 6. No lock though so would have to make sure someone was about.
