I've never ventured to the Morpeth, but one day I will. I've often wondered about logistics though. Like, do you need a lock, and dont the other pub goers think its strange that there are all these people in lyrca. Is packing a pair of baggies advisable, or is it just a case of not wearing the supertight white skinsuit on that day. And what happens after I've had ten pints. Have people already created "wiggley" strava segments.

If you have super thighs then they have blankets to cover them up with. Stop all the attention I/we generally get. There's usually ITBs resident lock. Ten pints is doable. You tend to hit the Strava segments harder as you don't feel pain.

There is strength in numbers. You feel less out of place in head to toe lycra when there are a few others dressed similarly. The staff know us and don't bat an eyelid, but one female drinker did ask me if I was circumcised. ITB still laughs at this. Take baggies if you are shy, or if, ahem, it a bit cold that day.

There are raillings outside, so you can lock your bike to them, but we usually drink outside (now with patio heaters) so that we can look at our bikes as we talk about them. Because of this, a lock may not be necessary, but someone usually has a lock that they are willing to share.

Drinking and cycling is not advisable and I never do it*. I don't think drinking and riding is a specific offence but may come under a catch-all offence such as drunk and disorderly. Take special care if you do drink and ride.
