urm.... forgive my ignorance..... what is it!?
Singlespeed kit for my xc bike, with neat little guides to keep the chain straight, i thought it'll look rather nice on my completely white bike....0 -
dinotte 400L
got to try out these babies this morning on my ride in and, without exagerating, i could see BETTER in the dark with them on than in the daytime. was able to avoid all the hidden ditches i normally run into. if they were much brighter i think i'd get complaints. great build quality and superfast delivery from the states. not that cheap but hey, you pays yer money...[/img]0 -
I was cycling towards a dude with a very bright front bike light the other day, and *just* managed to tell that he was indicating, though the light was so bright it was almost impossible to make him out at all. This could be a serious danger.0

Very, very boring and restrained low-budget MTB fettling stuff:
to replace the one I stupidly lost
and
and
I'm really struggling with the urge to get a new frame as well though....but it doesn't fit well with my need to reduce my expenditure !

Went to evans at lunch time and picked up a few bits:
I like these - they're more comfortable than the dhb ones I have.
For the MTB after the recent weather.
Got this in a different design to try and avoid cold air/runny nose syndrome which is quite annoying at the moment. Pricey for what it is but I like it a lot as it can cover as much or as little as you want - I also like the idea o hiding my face so people can only see my evil eyes.
These for my ankles since I don't have wheel/pedal reflectors.0 -
Castelli bib shorts because I was chatting with this bloke who works for Castelli last night and he told me ....

Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -

Just like a car headlight - look into the bean of one of those and you can't see a the indicators either.
But I personally do worry about people seeing hand signals of mine at night. I tend to assume they haven't. One for another thread perhaps.0 -

These "TOP" bib shorts from Santinii are the ones I am getting next as I have found a good retailer that sells them at a VERY reasonable price. £45 to be exact. This is the site
And here is the picture

nope. no hidden costs. and they threw in some different lenses (for wider, less intense beams) for free.
regarding danger... i don't agree.... as long as it is angled correctly you don't blind anyone. its less powerful than a car headlight (but not by much!). anyway, most of my commute is through forest trails and i'm lucky (or unlucky) to see anyone on my route.0 -

Nope! You can't claim 'to have found a good retailer' when that retailer is Prendas. Prendas is a forum institution. Now go and buy yourself some of their lovely retro jerseys and caps.Faster than a tent.......0 -

Quite annoying I've not got much left to buy from them but good to know. If you don't know what quidco is then look it up, definitely worth having if you shop online a lot.
