Mmm, very nice. Appropriate name too...

I'm thinking about getting the Diluvio gloves too. However, their website emphasises that, as well as being water/windproof, they are not breathable at all, so I'm trying to decide if having my hands stew in their own sweat is worth it if it guarantees that they're warm![/i]0 -

I used to get cold hands and feet so I have plenty many winter gloves. Can't have too many and, to a certain extent, I view them as consumable items. That said, it was only for a couple of weeks last year that I needed, on the commute, more than my castelli nanos. On the Hell of the Ashdown sportive (the day it started snowing in the SE) I had castelli max dues and was glad of them...0 -

Just ordered an XT M770 front mech for my MTB commuter and some SKS commuter mudguards for it. I recently ditched my front suspension forks for rigids so figured I'd get some guards, what with the changing season and all.
Also bought a Smart light set. I have a rear 1/2 watt Smart light and saw it was on sale at wiggle for £10.99. I then noticed the front and rear set was only £14 so figured £3 for a half decent front light can't be badFCN Daily commute = 11
FCN Fixie commute = 50 -

No. Buying a bike doesn't count but the component parts do. Try again but with the parts that make the bikeI've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

What you can't see from that picture is that the fabric is white on the inside, with a layer of black fibres outside. The idea is that the stretch causes the fabric to have slightly different tone as the outer black weave is stretched.
I think that I may look like a pillock wearing them. (this does not require an answer)0 -
Hi guys,
Further to my request about greasing pedals, here is a pic of the cap on the end of the pedal, which (I presume) you remove for servicing. Not only are the bearings not sealed, but they are not greased either by the rough, ticky feeling when you turn the spindle.
So, my question - how the hell do you get it off? It's wider than the spanners I've got, but even if I had the right shape one I wouldn't put money on being able to open it. Help?0 -

You can buy a tool for the job http://www.benscycle.net/index.php?main ... ts_id=2928
or try with some pliers as described here

I don't know, but I would guess that the cap rotates relative to the pedal cage and unscrews. Personally, I'd protect the finish somehow and take to it with a pair of mole grips (gently, sort of).
Have you rtfm'd?0 -
Well, hoping this one fits. Ordered in XS  (I am weeny though!) well aware that Castelli clothing is tiny as well. My 2XU base layer has skin-tight forearms, but too baggy elsewhere. Wiggle didn't stock the XS... don't know why I didn't send it back in the end. Still comfy I guess, lovely material.
Anyone know of any winter overshoes for MTB shoes (i.e. non road SPDs)0 -
