Found someone in this thread had used them and was happy so went for it. Took all of 14 minutes from placing order to receiving email saying it had been dispatched and 48 hours later the jacket arrives at my door. So, another big up to Westbrook.
It was an Endura Stealth BTW and 35 quid cheaper than I would have paid at the Earl's Court cycle show on Friday if they'd had my size.
You see now this is why I hate this thread, I happened to mosey over to their site and happened to look at the gloves and then happened to spot:
For £25, which they say is £20 less than RRP, other sites say the RRP is £60. Bargain alert!
Did you end up getting a pair of these UndercoverElephant? Had a look around the net and they are indeed quite a good discount from Westbrooke. Or has anyone else had experience with them? quite tempted to get a pair for the coming winter, they don't seem to be hugely thick like some ive tryed on, as i tend to overheat easily. Not too fussed on waterproofed either as its only a 2-3mile commute.Cycling Newbie

OH MY POOR, POOR WALLET !!! oh well I'll pay it all off in chunks! (hands up who loves credit cards?!) Safety + blinding cars first. Was scary riding home today in the cloudy-grimness of the day, at 6:15pm. I didn't like it at all!
Reported 480 lumens on high (good for Saturday morning rides) and somewhat less on low, which I'll probably use for commuting.

Got my Castelli Long/Sleeve base layers (2x) today. They're in small and they're not tight like I think they should be (yes, I am probably just too tiny for 99% of manufacturers to cater for me - ~5'6" / 50kgs ) Soo, they've gotta go back to PBK and I'm going to pop up to the running shop tomorrow and buy some 'SKINS' (got a pair of their shorts, and they're fantastic in terms of fit, hope the tops are as good)
hoping payday comes round before Castelli release their 2010 jackets....0 -

Biondino,
Which size did you order? I have been thinking about buying the same top but I am wondering how long the sleeves are? I don't know if I am an XL or an XXL!
I went for XL, but it hasn't arrived yet so can't confirm sleeve length! Will let you know...

Just had a Hope Vision 1 bought for me by the girlfriend!! Gonna have that one helmet mounted in addition to my Fenix L2D Q5 (got two of those if I'm feeling like it) and Smart Polaris on the bars. Also bought the Fizik ICS rear blinking light to complement my existing rear lights. Hopefully my bike's gonna resemble a mobile disco.Bianchi Via Nirone Veloce/Centaur 20100

Hi there, yes I did, they arrived today. I must say that they seem superb, the fit is extraordinary, they seem very warm and claim to be at least a bit waterproof. They certainly aren't too big, I wanted to be able to change gear easily whist wearing them so that's ideal. CleverPun said he's had some too, and reckons they're good, except the palm grip wears off - just looking at the grip I would say this is true.
Also they're hi-viz and reflective - great for hand signals. What more could anyone ask?0 -

Sleeve length on the XL = pretty long! And I have quite long arms. Sleeves are also much baggier than expected - not cycling-tight at all. You could fit any L/S baselayer or jersey under it easily. The material is quite thin so it's not a winter top unless it's one layer among several.
The Shimano bibtights, btw, seem (on sight - haven't tried them on) very roomy inside - perhaps for once an XL that means something? Will report back once I've tried them.0 -
That's a very nice top.FCN 2-4.

Also, the Descente Intermezzo L/S jersey I bought the other day is brilliant - comfy, spring/autumn suited, looks dead classy. Thorough recommendation.0 -

Hi,
Thanks for the quick review - what chest size are you? I am a 40" but thought Castelli's sizing was on the smaller side.
If you could actually measure the sleeves that would be great as I am very tall (6' 6")and quite skinny and need sleeves at least 22'5" long from armpit seam to cuff.
thanks!!!x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

I have also seen those – they look really good value. I suppose you got a Large! Did you have to pay any taxes? Which delivery method did you choose? I have heard than anything over $30 gets caught up in customsx-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

I am 39" chest - reckon 40" would be about perfect for the XL. I also have quite skinny arms so if you're beefier they'd be less baggy.
However - the sleeve length is about 21.5 to 22 inches from armpit seam to cuff. Also, it would be very short at the front on you unless you have a very short torso.0 -

Sorry, missed this. Yes, I did get a Large - I bought it on eBay from a UK seller for £30. Where did you seem them on offer? But you're right, you get stung for VAT regularly, and it adds to the delivery time. Not worth trying to pull a fast one IMHO.0 -
Oooh - Jenson US have it for $28! That might be cheap enough to avoid customs.

Cool, think i'll try a pair then, thanks for the info. Will hand wash them as the palm grip isn't stuck on greatly, also work in a hardware shop so some industrial strentgh glue should do the trick if the worst happensCycling Newbie

I think the limit is £18 and that comes out at £17.13 at todays rate, but they only get checked once they are over here. If by any chance the exchange rate shoots up and goes to £18.13 then you have to pay VAT on both the item and the postage and that would put the item on £28 with everything paid for ... probably just about worth it!x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Our rainy season is almost over and will be followed by our coldest - 'the hot season'.So in preparation for longer rides, I needed a larger bag for the road bike.
When I started going on longer rides about 50 years ago - well, 20 miles for an 11 year old then was a long way! - I used to take water in a glass pop bottle and some jam butties. Things have changed a bit - now I use insulated bidons and take cheese and marmalade sandwiches.
I have been dealing with the bag manufacturer who is about 10 kms from my home in Bangkok.
Large detachable 'panniers', strong elasticated loop for a third bottle, enough capacity for my sandwiches and a full size camera and attaches to the seat post using the Klick Fit system.

Just reading this thread for the first time I think, it's odd that eveyone goes to the trouble of including photos of their new purchases but doesn't give a link to where they got it from?
Perhaps it's just as well, it's a bit of a money pit this thread isn't it?0 -

That gives you a link to the site so you can see where the images are being leached from, but it doesn't always give you the product name.
It's just a comment, thought it was odd that's all.0 -
