Chapeau in you brand selection, may all your battles be victorious
It probably is from what I hear! I only have their knee warmers at the moment, pleased with those. There's a couple of Castelli fans on these forums isn't there? Anyone know about their jackets? I like the sound of the 'radiation' ones, as I don't want to be feeling like a michelin man & all bulky on the bike.0 -

Espresso/Insolito - full winter jackets, very warm but not bulky
Volo Partial - autumn, early winter. Stylish softshell
I've also got an Assos 851 airjack but it never gets worn coz the espresso is just so good.
Edit: I'm 5'10 and 65kg and I'm medium in most castelli (except gloves, socks)0 -

Further to my request about greasing pedals, here is a pic of the cap on the end of the pedal, which (I presume) you remove for servicing. Not only are the bearings not sealed, but they are not greased either by the rough, ticky feeling when you turn the spindle.
So, my question - how the hell do you get it off? It's wider than the spanners I've got, but even if I had the right shape one I wouldn't put money on being able to open it. Help?0 -

Just ordered:
MTE P7 flashlight from Dealextreme
Handlebar mount
Batteries
Charger
Now need:
Decent winter gloves (any suggestions)
Some new baggy shorts
Also, what has happened to the Ronhill Bikesters?! I was just about to get a couple of pairs but they're discontinued on wiggle and I can't find them anywhere else. :evil:0 -

Thanks chaps (especially ITB for making me snort). The special wrench is only $6.99 in that link, but $28 postage, non merci...0 -
just bought Carradice saddle bag, only to find that the allen key (on the little holding thing on the seatpost) has lost it's thread.
Cant' get that fixed until Friday.
and I also bought a Knog NERD, and it's ENORMOUS! and I can't work it. :oops:0 -
For my birthday at the weekend was given a new specialized S-Works 2010 helmet - in white to match my bike. Really pleased with it .
Altough with the winter setting in it might be quite chilly. You'll not see nothing like the mighty Quin.0 -
Got myself a few things lately.
From ProBikeKit
Rabobank top - at that price couldn't say no!
From Wiggle
Cateye Wheel Magnet - the original one broke
SKS Chromoplastic mudguards - I know the Crud ones are really good but my bike has got proper eyelets and really like the fact that they are full sized mudguards
From DealExtreme
MagicShine HA-III - why bother buying any other light? Best bargain bike light ever! Blows to bits Exposure, Hope, Cat Eyes and other lights for a fraction of their price.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Heads up - just seen that wiggle have been added to quidco.
5% cashback on everything except bikes and frames (1 & 2% for those)
Quite annoying I've not got much left to buy from them but good to know. If you don't know what quidco is then look it up, definitely worth having if you shop online a lot.0 -
I'm awaiting the arrival of these:

Bit worried about getting my fat ar$e into some lycra, but a mate says that bib-tights are the be all and end all if you want to stay warm and comfortable on a bike through the winter*. Even more worried about strolling into work with them next week!!!
*The thought occurs that he may have said this just so he could point and laugh when I get into the fecking things. Some confirmation that he speaks the truth would be reassuring???FCN 7: Dawes Galaxy Ultra 2012 - sofa-like comfort to eat up the miles

Stu - Don't worry about lycra - you just have to make the leap, then it'll start to feel normal.
In terms of on the bike, you'll quickly realise it's the best thing since sliced bread - much more fit for purpose - as for marching through the office - yeah, you may get a bit of stick, but they'll get bored of the sight pretty soon if you do it regularly enough - I don't get any comments now, and I have to pass through three departments to get to the changing rooms.
(I'm a shrinking XL too - so can't exactly claim to have "the figure" for lycra)
Have quite happily sat in a bar in full lycra just recently though - I'd pre-warned my mates - and the fact that the freshers were having a sports themed fancy dress night certainly helped!Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0 -

Yes, I know others work but I haven't got any more spares so I need a new one and the only spare one I could find was the Cateye one!x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

First item is this amazing torch
The second item is a 50/39/30 crank that I cant find an image of and the third item is the Blackburn Delphi 3.0 computer pictured below for taking out a subscription with Cycling Plus
I just wish it was a little more reliable as the mount it goes onto allows water to get onto the contacts.0 -
