  • I think that if we actually include links, then many of us will actually have to 'fess up about how much we spend. Imagine if Mrs. Elephant found out how much my new, tarty gloves cost? They were somewhat more than I'll claim :D

To be honest, both the Castelli and the Nalini tops in my case are anniversary gifts from my wife! :)

The base layer is just something for the commute so it's also allowed! :)

Adidas knee warmers. When I'm leaving in the mornings, it's too cold for shorts and too warm for full leg warmers/tights.

5m of reflective tape, to add to the 5 lights I use.

A pair of world Champ socks in black. Not really sure why but seen them with 60 seconds to go and put a bid in, guess we're all guilty of the same at some point.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

The image url has to end with a file extension that BR recognises as an image:

I know it's wrong but I just don't like the look of titanium. Maybe if I rode one and it was lovely I'd change my mind, but...

The latter! And I have a big ol' head. I guess under my helmet it doesn't matter if it ruffles up a bit in non-key places. It's still a bit warm to use it.

They do look a bit boring and plain, but I want a frame that'll last a while and the Ti look has grown on me- the thing with carbon framesets is that the paint jobs and tube shapes go out fashion eventually, they look good at the start but after a few years they'll look crap, but Ti bikes will still be made in a similar years down the line and so they won't go out of fashion.

I would like a Top notch CFRP frame, but I wouldn't be able to change the frame when I got bored of it. And I wanted an external aheadset just so it'd better last the weather, rather the integrated headsets which I seem to mash.

    V nice reddragon :)

I'm just waiting for my Ti Sportive frame to arrive, so I am feeling rather excited.

£200 off all their Ti frames at the mo as well :D

Are you going to run full guards on the Sportive?

I might get Sportive to replace my crappy ribble next year (if they are still reasonably priced) and use it as a winter bike. I'm getting a pro road becasue I didn't fancy the mudguard eyes on my bike

I will in the winter, plus I'll piggy-back a light-weight rack for some 'credit-card' touring in the summer. Lighter wheels and no guards for those days when I just fancy a blast. I'm planning on selling my road-bike and tourer and replacing both with this.

I bought one of their Ti 456 mtb frames when they were going with free forks and was totally blown away. Don't you just love it when On-One / Planet X have one of their sales on!!

Just got to break the news to Mrs. don_don now, gulp

Plain, but not boring - I rather like the look. So why is it that Ti frames don't get paint jobs? Is there technical reason, or just aesthetics?

Is that frame by Planet-X, btw?
