  • Just bought:

    Cateye Strada Wireless computer:
    408-og.jpg

    Foska Marmite jersey:
    marmite-road.png

Very pleased with both so far. The computer is just what I need to get started, as it records the essential info I need. I'll worry about GPS routing and recording a bit later down the line! The jersey's nice too, it's got a zipped rear pocket for my phone etc (my other jerseys don't have that), plus, IMO, it looks cool ;). The fact that the back is bright yellow is a bonus too, for increased visibility to motorists.

Cheers for the mini-review. Not too bothered about that as I am not using it for commuting.

Going to get a Vectra for that! :)

Should get something smaller ... a fiesta or polo

Bought a VDO A08 Plus Wireless instead of the Cateye Vectra Wireless as they were the same amount of money but the VDO had more functions and the reviews in Wiggle were excellent.

Also got myself a couple of Torq Singles that I will use and then re-use :)

From eBay I did get 4 Titanium Bottle Cage bolts as the ones that came with my Ti bike are too short.

2 gatorskin 23s and a big bottle of SIS Go.

Unfortunately the bike is at the LBS having a full service again after the weekend when spokes came loose and tinklings became unbearable. I don't pick it up until thursday morning!

I just called allterraincycles about the Crud Roadracers I ordered last week and they are in the process of ordering them from Crud.

I'm not convinced i'm going to get them too quickly, so may look for other sources.

Just bought one of these too, they're on offer at Planet-X. Hope they're better than the Ritchey Bendosaurus one that came stock.

Hope you didn't pay too much ;)

2 x Tubes with slime. For my mothers bike which I'll fit later this week.

If I had a spare £2k I'd have left with a new road bike too, better start saving!

Yes, sorry, it was an ebay purchase. I linked to Wiggle for the info. Brand new though!

And the first thing I did when I unpacked it was hold it up and say to my colleague "and this is an XL..."

Because of popular demand I bought

    Attack/force tyres
    C02 inflator
    5 vittoria tyres
Shimano freehub body - for my other fulcrums (the sevens)
    Food Chain number = 4

That's 3 tops now. Any other brands out there worth looking at? I'm not seeing anything that inspires me.

Just ordered a set of Kool Stop dual compound pads and holders after reading other people on here say how great Kool Stop are. Wiggle didn't seem to have the ones I wanted (dura ace compatible holders) so I had to order from dotbike who I've never dealt with before. Waiting for them to arrive with baited breath.

Jesus, you're not wrong! My girlfriend was like "that's a LARGE?!?" and I was like "uh no, it's an extra-large...". It fits though, and is comfortable, though the grippers on the very narrow arm tubes ("sleeves" doesn't quite capture their essence) catch a bit on the skin.

On the other hand - 58 seconds quicker over 40km at 40kmh! Like that'll ever be relevant to me (actually it would have been, almost, during Ride 24, hey ho).

And finally, I look HOT in this top. Seriously flattering.

Yep. Think I put something to that effect on wiggle review. Saw them at the airport for £60.

You know the rules... no pics = no true :D

I made the mistake of buying a large (rather than XL) Castelli jersey recently. No way I'm wasting 50 notes though...

I suspect that's not too far from the truth :) though rather than the top itself holding in my belly, I'd say it strongly encourages me to hold it in... But it's a good-looking top - the cut, and the design, do make the male torso look its best, without doubt.
