Does anyone have these? If so, are they any good (aside from the fact that I have serious doubts over whether I pull off that much white...)?

    Cheers

too much white - you know they're gonna be see-thru.
  • Saddle Bag
    Topeak Multitool
    C02 gas thingy
    2 x replacement gas cartridges
    2 x inner tubes
    small pliers
    individual allen key
    dirty rag

All stolen at Tesco Lewisham off my bike prior to the "slowcial" at the weekend.

Now found! Somebody handed it in to Tesco.

Sorry, I know this thread is all about gear you have just bought, but I was about to slope off to wiggle and reluctantly re-order said items, so it feels like I have just bought them but without paying!

    :)

@IP - can you let me know what the tyre lever thingy you have is?

I once met a guy who worked as a mechanic on the TdF and he said "NEVER, EVER, EVER use a tyre lever (at least when putting the new tube in and replacing the tyre)". But that thingy did look helpful for getting the tyre off....

Tis a Crank Brothers Speed Lever

I've used it to reseat a tricky tire without any probs, it's fine as long as you're careful.

Yes well lucky I live in leafy Ladywell which is just next door.

Having a shithole next door makes your own neighbourhood seem even better. At least, that's what one of my friends who lives in Chelsea recently told me (when referring to Pimlico). ;)

He must've meant Fulham! I'll be waving goodbye to lovely Pimlico soon, perhaps heading for the leafier environs of Wandsworth or Battersea - damn but I'm adventurous.

Can anyone recommend me a new seatpost for the Bob Jackson? Not in pink - and not in black - and ideally reasonably priced and classic looking. 27.2mm. I'd be very happy to consider buying off any of you lot of you have something in vg condition that fits the bill.

Wasn't this illegal until 1968? I refuse to help encourage this sort of thing.

And hopefully a bag of sweets this time......

As a footnote, the point raised on this here thread about thanking whoever put the sweets in your last order, in order to get some more, works. Bag of Haribo in the box.

Money spent today: Professional fitting for the Viner at Velocity. Apparently for optimum fit, I want 40cm bars (mine are 42 I think) and 172.5 cranks (170), but those can wait, it's still perfectly comfy at 99% there, everything else adjusted right. I will of course keep an eye out for a nice cheap gruppo upgrade....

The weekly specials are done by categories and they move them around stores so one store might have all gardening stuff in while one down the road has all cycling stuff.

My local store has pet specials this week but there was some stock left over from the recent cycling week. Seems from google that the shoes have been £18.58 and £14.99 but because of the way they do weekly specials if you hold out for a better price you might not see them again.

    No excitement, but frustration.
New bottle cage and bottle for MTB.
Cage cracked and bottle deposited somewhere up a South Walian mountain. Bloody trails.
    Back to the shop then...

This just arrived in the post and it's amazing - fits brilliantly (I got the XL), looks great, is really snug and warm and seems very good quality. Chain Reaction still have all sizes in stock and it also comes in black and red.
