29er BMX? That does sound contradictory.
Oh, and happy birthday. Can you still call yourself bmxboy?

Good idea that. Things get better from now on. You can resign yourself to not being attractive to at least 51% of the female population and then 50, then 49... etc as the years go by.

Oh and be sure to match that thing with a pair of High top Converse all stars.

One of these for my daughter at some point in the future, £31.50 with the 10% off code, thought it was a sound investment, and mahoosive reduction - it really is very light.

You need crotchless shorts to go with that saddle.

    Ordered 2 tyres from Wiggle.
Noticed that I had mistakenly ordered 25mm instead of the 28's.

Clicked on 'Cancel order'. Couldn't because 'the order has been dispatched'.
Clicked on 'My orders' which stated that 'This order has not been dispatched'.
    >No online chatter box available today<

Sent email to them saying that it was my mistake and that I have never had to return any of your items and it would be simpler if you cancel this, credit me and i'll buy the right one's.

    Received an automated reply:

"...thank you for your enquiry. We aim to answer your email within 7 days..."

Bollox. It will be too late then. I only hope the 28's will still be in stock or do I fork out another x £'s in the interim?

Presumably you've paid on credit card?

If you think you can get the incorrect items back to them and refunded before your next cc statement, you won't even be out of pocket.

If you need them I'd personally just re-order.

Worst case you'll be out of pocket for a month.

If you leave it, they might go out of stock, or have a price increase, and you're then even more out of pocket and you still have 2 tyres to return.

    Uh?!
    28mm's arrived today.

Does that mean the previous order was cancelled?
    I won't know until tomorrow.
Unless... they made a mistake with my order and packed 2 x 28mm instead of the 25mm's which I originally ordered incorrectly means that if another pair arrive (which are also 28mm, (unless they got them wrong too), i'll keep them.

That's a bit odd - did you not get tracking for each order so you can see where they are?

If it's Hermes, who tf knows where they might be.

I say that partly in jest - our local setup seems to work pretty well to be fair!

They were ordered before I ordered the 28's.

...now on the way back to Wiggle.

Rode an imperial century on friday, and made the mistake of trying to secure my varia to the tailfin seatpost mimic that is not. Luckily I had already bought a protective case for it, so it was secured to the rack itself, and at some point the o ring and rubber bit that sits in the mount departed and headed for the tarmac.

I have some raceware ones on order, but still useful to have this universal one for random bikes or for when my partner wants to use it on one of her bikes, frustrating having to shell out £14 for it though.

So ordered from Merlin, plus a couple of £3.50 fat michelin tubes for the gravel bike to get free postage - oh and went through TCB who have 5% cashback currently, plus activated the £2 bonus for a purchase made today, so saves me around £3.

In other news, in recent days I have sold 4 jerseys and one speedsuit :)o:)

Only just now clocked that the didi 44cm Bianchi I bought for my daughter, despite having a suitable 50/34 on the front, comes with an 11-27 on the rear.

Looked up the 3500 Sora derailleur, and documentation seems to say that the short cage supports up to 32T, whilst the long cage only adds another 2 teeth on for a 34.
It has a short cage on, so have ordered a 11-32 HG400 from Merlin for £23.99 before cashback, which is a decent 5%.

Still waiting on the delivery of a Campag Record 10s front derailleur (28.6 clamp).
I have the Polish postal tracking number for the item. Their tracking page and the UK Post Office tracking page have not been updated since Fri 31st March. Grrrr!

    Probably still in customs.

    Has it turned up yet?
Yep, I ordered a part for my mower form Ireland and calculated that the distance from me as the crow flies is less than 100 miles. Took 6 weeks to arrive.

I've been pretty darned good of recent months, but just now spotted Sigma have the LW winter bib tight down from £150 to £77, after TCB less than half price.

Only Small, XXL, and XXXL in stock though.

I have a black and yellow pair which I really like, alas these are all black, but can't have everything - the progetto x2 pad should compensate.

A few little bits from Merlin, 9-speed KMC chain; Zefal tyre levers; Weldtite repair kit and the blue https://www.merlincycles.com/funkier-dryride-pro-showerproof-cycling-jacket-193438.html on offer for £24 (which is very lightweight, few hi-vis strips and looks passable as a jacket that could be worn off the bike).
Ordered late Monday, collected Tuesday with free Tracked48, surprisingly without an emails from Royal Mail has been delivered a few moments ago on Wednesday! :o

Ended up getting 30mm Vittoria valve extenders from the evil empire https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00U18PBFA for ~£12, now to find energy to finally put those VEL 50 RL wheels togetether (XT MT800 rotors; 11-34 cassette; Vitt latex tubes; GP5000 tyres), get some drywarm weather and find some power/stamina to make semi-aero wheels an actual benefit.

Just an FYI, noticed the last uk general retailer to the best of my knowledge (Wiggle membership excluded as well as Rapha) to offer 'free' returns, Sigma sports are now charging £2.99 per order - looks like it is taken off the amount that is refunded to you.

That is a shame. They were always really useful if you needed to order multiple pairs of shoes to try on. Still, £2.99 isn't too bad I suppose.

Wiggle do the Conti one's. I doubt there is a difference in thread pitch/size given cores are industry standard.

What depth of rim are they for?!

50mm rims on VEL 50 RL wheels.

Had a minor panick when the supplied tool with the Vittoria extenders didn't fit the valve cores, a quick google demonstrated a solution/hack for that by placing core head in chain tool to remove/tighten core. B)

Never bought any Universal Colours kit before, but rather liked the look of this jersey.

Sizing is 'apparently' terrible, so ordered xs, small and medium from Sigma, only to find the one I suspected would be fine (Small) was indeed fine.

The Universal Colours website, that looked similar to Sigma's had a MATCHYSOCKS code offer, which meant you could add a pair of merino socks (tie die nonetheless!) to specific jersey orders, and have it discounted off, so I sent the 3 jerseys back to Sigma at the price of £2.99, and have re-ordered the jersey below, and the £25 ( ! ) socks are gratis as it were.

The jersey has an RRP of £140, and it down to £60, so my man maths means with the £25 discounted on socks I would never pay that much for, the jersey has in fact ended up costing me only £35 :D

Quality wise it feels as good as Castelli imho, not likely to get to wear it out on the bike for a while, or I hope not anyway, as if I do it means are summer has malfunctioned.

Is it worth £140 - I'd say not. Is it worth £60, I'd say yes.
Sizing wise, I would say it does size up smaller than castelli, probably 1 size smaller.

EDIT: What I meant to add is that the UC website is basically hosted/run by Sigma, as the final payment is to Sigma Sports :D
