Just ordered one of these in the navy blue with pink band.
Haven't tried any Torm stuff before but I know it's well regarded. I previously enquired about one of their long sleeved jerseys but they were honest enough to say they thought the sleeve length would be no good for me at 6'4" in a size medium.
The newer designs apparently have longer sleeves so hopefully will work for me. For anyone interested, they may well be coming back into stock in all sizes so keep an eye on the website or drop them an email.0 -
Finally got the Radoppia yesterday evening, after 3 failed delivery attempts (only once was I away) on top of 3 reschedulings. Hermes courier even went out of his way to say he wasn't my usual courier, but the local one just couldn't cope with the numbers.
@daniel_b I was wondering how you found the length of the jacket overall. Maybe I'm used to the tails in gabbas/perfettos what not, but the length of the jacket was on the shorter side. Maybe as it's not meant to be a wet weather jacket?0 -
Hey Dr H,
gotta love Hermes...........!
They do ok for me generally, but that's cos it's my work address I use.
Due to my genetics, I have a short @rse torso (If that is possible) and longish legs, so shorter garments are a blessing for me.
Just compared if with my Espresso 3 jacket, and the difference between the length at the back versus the front is 100%.
I may not have explained that very well - if for example the rear on the Espresso comes down 4" further than the front, on the Raddoppia it's only 2" further - hopefully that is clearer.
So the Espresso, which imho is mostly a dry weather jacket, has a much longer tail comparatively, but due to my stunted torso, both jackets work perfectly well for me.
Do you think you will return it then?Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

I can't recommend the Drivo due to reliabilty problems, just had my second unit fail with the same electronics fault, this time out of warrantydaniel_b said:No blinders out there that I can see ITB sadly.
AlpineTrek have it for £658.30, BUT TCB have over 10% cashback, so that would make it around £595 which isn't too shabby.
The Drivo can be had for £599, BUT I just noticed the Drivo II is at Halfrauds for £699!
It's an online exclusive, so not sure if you can apply BC 10% discount, or C2W 20% discount if you are using it currently?
Also if your work has those charge up cards, it would knock a further 10% off.
Could in theory make the Drivo II £504!
*I am not up on their reliability
*Accurate to 0.5% apparently.

Is than the Drivo II tcm?
I knew the original was suspect, as it was out when I was looking to buy, but know nothing about the replacement, and there seemed to be precious little in the way of reviews out there for it, pethaps that speaks volumes.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Yeah I’ve heard that as well, I’m set on the KICKR core no need for the bigger unit as the max gradient and power is far more than I could ever manage.
Training with power meters has been a very humbling experience for me, I take my hat off to my friends and club mates that can ride seemingly all day at +300W no wonder I can barely hang on in the fast club rides.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

It did make sense! I wonder why the Espresso does have the longer tail though....daniel_b said:Hey Dr H,

In any case, and despite being built the other way around (short inseam compared to total height), I decided to keep it. I ride w/ mudguards pretty much from October to April, and the tail length is still OK on a sitting position. As a matter of fact, I used it today for my commute (+2C, sunny, no wind (!!!???)). I found it quite toasty and pleasant with a merino LS base layer.0 -
:-) Good news, have to say, Castelli certainly do make some decent jackets, an area they excel at in my opinion.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

A whole bunch of build-kit bits for my new frameset but most excitingly:
These tyres on these wheels for my monster-truck Rondo to swap with my 60mm racing wheels.
Also these were released today by Galibier - a winter of turbo has exposed my bibs' capabilities pretty badly, and I like the whole pocket thing, so I'm in:

The Torm jersey is fantastic. Lovely soft material, great sleeve length and excellent pockets.
Sizing is fairly generous, but it's not the type of jersey you want to be super tight.
Worn this morning with a winter weight base layer and a Rapha Brevet insulated gilet over the top was a great combination in temperatures close to freezing.

Careful, the 48/32 combo will only fit Praxis chainsets...from their website '48/32 110BCD VIP NOTE: This is a custom ring set that can only be installed on our new Praxis Works branded 110BCD road cranks. This specific set includes custom ring bolts required for installation. This set will not install on prior generation “TURN” road cranks or other brand cranks. Also, it will not install on spider based power meters such as Power2Max or SRM.'bendertherobot said:

From Merlin recently...
23mm and 25mm GP5000, to experiment with a more aero tyre setup.
Castelli Bologna summer jersey.
Lezyne CNC alloy up-front GPS mount.
From Lidl in current promo...
Track pump.
Apparently the ~£13 light set might be German STVZO compliant, which to my limited knowledge on STVZO products, is very cheap... Might grab a set later.================

I’ve recently bought some more heated insoles from sports pursuit as my last pair died, not surprising given how much I wore them.
eBay/facebook has provided me with a long sleeve and a short sleeve castelli perfetto, a gabba gilet, a Rapha insulated gilet and a lightweight one.
Only issue now is that I’ve injured the meniscus in my right knee and can barely walk never mind ride!0 -

Balls. Gone from 'next day delivery' to '13th April 2020", so even if it was £12 cheaper than the nearest competitors for 2 pairs, I ain't waiting that long.wolfsbane2k said:2 pairs of swissstop 34 rs pads.

Finally managed to bag a 7Mesh Oro jacket in XS, and for half rrp :-)
Have been sold out for AGES seemingly everywhere.
Will probably sell on an Assos jacket of similar weight - or should do anyway.
