    Thanks Lit.

Biondino, I'm seriously considering the girls headbands idea, £2.50 for 2 of £11 for an Assos one hmmmm.

I'll let you know if they work.

 I wish I could do that, I'm really struggling to afford the £2.50 for 2 option, in my experience, don't have kids if you like to buy things :cry:

Whenever I hear of headbands I think back to Jean-Francois Bernard in the 1987 TDF. Last 30s of this video:

I may have had one of those Look headbands...
Last year I bought a couple of these (one red, one black):

Go look in somewhere like Claire's accessories, or down your local market, or Superdrug, or somewhere cheap and nasty - I wouldn't spend more than £1!

Ta very much, I never thought about superdrug, I think I'll give claire's a miss tho, I'd look a bit suspicious in a shop full of teenage girls - on second thoughts 8) how you doin? :P

Yeah, I bought them as well - should get them tomorrow! Though not with the Castelli mitts I also bought as they're out of stock till "mid-June" (i.e. Xmas). Grr.

edit: Andymanc - how do you know they are a class apart? Do you already own those bibs?

I'm just commenting that they are far better than the other bibs I own , DHB,TREK and Cannondale all that I bought at around the £40 mark (some on sale).

The quality of the material, the pad , the cut , you can feel the quality.

    LiT,

how are you getting on with those Asos bibs? I don't generally wear mine for the commute - partly it is just looking after my "good" gear, partly it's because I followed the Asos guidance and got them snug so they are comfortable on the bike but pull a bit at the shoulder when I'm walking.

However, the clean gear drawer was a bit barren today so I wore them and I have to say they are mighty comfy

I'm actually wearing them today as well, been out evey night this week so haven't had the opportunity to do any laundry. Bl**dy stupid front came undone 3 times, not a huge hassle to do it back up but just annoying.

I'm almost considering writing to Assos to give them a good talking-to.

However, due to the colder weather today the lack of ventilation was less of a problem.

    Shorts bit, however, remains excellent.

Sadly they took a lot of scouring eBay to find! Dirt cheap, and a bit too big for me (I'm usually 5.5 or 39 myself, these are 40s).

If you can find some nice red ones that don't cost the Earth, let me know...

    And White Hudz:

Send them back you'll regret both buys. I had the tape it looks awful and stays white for one ride and doesn't clean. Same for the Hudz a real bastard to clean and keep white.
