I have been outbid on all three of the jerseys I was after on eBay. What's so insidious is losing an auction by, say, 20p - the instinctive reaction is "gah! Of course I'd have spent 20p more to win it!" and you don't even think the other dude is probably thinking the same thing, and before you know it you've bid £22....

Is that super record? Why are the crank arms made of what looks like recycled plastic that's been melted and then squashed together? (I genuinely don't like that marbled effect)

Got myself some decent shorts to replace my aging Cannondale LeCarbons

    Clicky for bigger:
    assos-fI-uno-S5-med.jpg

It's the Assos FI Uno S5 09 (letters not necessarily in that order... )

Still got a sore bum when doing 35 miles on Mon or Tues... whenever it was, did 10 - 15 or so the other day and doing a fair amount over the weekend.

But, over the week I've gradually realised that they're amazing and I'm not going back to non-bib shorts ever!

Lovely fit, Quality of material is absolutely fantastic - really need to emphasize that - it's out of this world. The pad is comfy and fits well and there's plenty of room in them, if you know what I mean, lads.

Nice touches like all the labels on the outside is nice - I usually cut labels out so that's great + I can keep the washing instructions!!

You get some free Assos washing detergent, a washing machine bag and chamois creme in the lovely box + glossy magazine too.

What is it today ... 11 or 12 degrees :?

I've got lots of short sleeves , I also work daft shifts, so I'm on the road at 5:30 am, or sometimes coming home at 10pm .

You can always roll long sleeves up

Descente Spirit Bib Shorts (white and blue)

    descente-spirit-10044-med.jpg

    Just got mine today ........... £65 .. down from £130 :)

They are a class apart , I now have 5 bib shorts, better to organise the washing.

I now have mine (in red/black)! They are staggeringly comfy though very slippery - could barely stay in one place on the saddle! But definitely they'll be my prime shorts for the 120-mile relay event in a couple of weeks.

What do people think of removable chamois? I was wondering if it'd be possible to use one in a pair of shorts which already had its own pad, for double the comfort for long rides. Or would it not work/fit?

I have no experience, but wouldn't it move about as you did, and isn't the point of having the pad in the shorts rather than a padded seat that the pad doesn't move and so is more comfortable, or have I got both bits wrong there?

You might be completely right, hence my question - that would be my worry too. a chamois with velcro, perhaps? (NB make sure you fit it the right way up  )
