Wow that's a deal and a half, you'd be doing well to get a stock Arione CX for that much!

Bought a pocket wallet from cycle of good as the one I'm using is about to die cause of moths

Similar items elsewhere but these help people in Malawi.

After the absolute grimness that was Hillingdon on Saturday and then getting caught in the snow on Sunday, I bought:

    Assos Bonka S7 Gloves
    Dexshell Ultra Thin Waterproof Socks
    Fabric Lumaray Garmin Mount Light
Specialized Allez Sprint Disc --- Specialized S-Works SL7

    IG: RhinosWorkshop
  • Ryan - talk to me about those socks. The Sealskins ones were shyte (as everyone warned).

I did 70 miles on the Saturday and fingers were only cold in the last 10 miles but toes were grim for about half the ride.

Can’t comment on them yet since haven’t been delivered.

I have the SealSkinz (thin cycle model), and they’re like putting a blinking 10mm wet suit in your foot. Not a fan at all.

Hoping the Dexshells will be a bit better.

I had a pair of SealSkinz years ago which I used for MTB’ing and they were fantastic but they don’t make that model anymore.

  • Horrendous conditions mean my lovely Clement Stradas are holier than my summer base layer, so 2 x GP4000sii from Ribble to replace.

Just signed up for a ride from London to Edinburgh via Yorkshire for work so splashed out on:
Rapha Classic Bibs (can't believe the price!) for £64
Castelli Omloop Nano Bibs for about £60 (Merlin)
And a Morvelo Blaze Stormshield Jersey for £40 (down from £100, great bit of kit) using their sale and the 20% off code.

(on that note if anyone wants the code it's here: https://morvelo.mention-me.com/me/referee/registerko/15773934/79022622/er/da20ccd8360766ad0054263d1cf53d563c85d45a/fe/cw?epr=1(full disclosure, this code benefits me too. I get 20% discount again if someone uses it))

A workstand, assuming you want to be proficient at home maintenance, is one of THE key items to purchase imho - quite a changer of the game :D

Exactly that - it cost me less than the price of a service and should last a good long time. Also the shop wanted to keep my bike for a week which would have meant I'd have had to pay train fares over and above.

Work-related discount... is that one of those sites where you buy vouchers at a discounted price? Evans used to be on our one (Perks at work.. used to be Corporate Perks) but appears to have disappeared recently. I should have used it more when it existed :(

Yeah, one of those. Gets another 8% off. Mind you, if I'd got myself organised I could have got an extra 20% off earlier in the month when Evans were doing their in-store promotion. £120 jersey for £48, some people got a steal....

Might actually have been the last one, and likely a return come back into stock, but have since had a despatch confirmation so it's on its way. Just hope it fits following the Xmas excess!

Kask Protone White to replace Specialized lid that took a wack and broke last year. Went up a size large 59-62cm to get correct fit. They seem to fit smaller than specialized which I'm ok with medium

I've just bought the last few bits that I need to build up what will be my 'best bike'.

Consisting of Ultegra R8000 front & rear calipers, KMC X11-SL Gold chain and a C-Bear ceramic Bottom Bracket.

I can't wait to get it all built up now. :D:D:D
  • A tan Charge Spoon (had one a few years back, but it was on the better half's Saracen that was nicked), plus a Conti 25-32 tube to qualify for free delivery, from Merlin.

This weekend's TCB £2.50 bonus promo on top of standard cashback make the tube cost literally pennies.

Moon Nebula rear light, have spotted a few on my commutes and they’re bloody brilliant.

Just bought one of these for my road bike.

    oi-copper.jpg

I have a bell on my commuter, but have been using my proper bike for a few commutes recently. Thought i'd try this as opposed to just shouting at people who are crossing roads without looking etc. It's pretty discreet visually and it quite loud.

  • Grip grab racethermo x overshoes

Got sucked in by the marketing on these, pulling the trigger earlier this month. Unfortunately, i need to return them because the loop used to keep the toe section in position has pulled away from its stitching.
Also ended up with wet socks around ankle during a 20 min commute in light rain.
Desperately overpriced for a poor quality product.
