£171 after £40 Black Friday discount on Wiggle and my 12% loyalty perk.

No more cold feet for me.

If they’re that good, I’ll whack some SPDs on my S5 and use them for my winter training too.

I've just spent £15 on a quick release adapter for my fly12, so it's easier to remove when I lock the bike up.

It's there ever an end to this? I've spent well over £100 on bits of plastic to mount lights to the bike fleet. Why's there no universal mounting system?

Lightning visit to Evans tonight 15 minutes before closing time. Got two KMC quick links & quick link pliers, as some idiot (me) had farked up the guiding pin trimming after putting a new chain to my bike.

Ten evans rideit events all through next year, using code Ride2for1 so 10 for the price of 5...!
  • Bought my wife her 1st ever road bike yesterday (she doesn't know at all).

Kind of a present to myself after a great ofsted last week, as it means she can come out with me on a few little rides and she wants to do a few of those wiggle sportive thingies (I tend not to bother anymore), after doing couch to 5K a few years back and getting into running.

Anyway thought it was a great deal for a size 55, GT Grade from Wiggle, woman friendly Tiagra flavour. Down to £640 and with 0% interest it's an easy purchase to make. And it'll fit both my daughter and son as well (though the boy will outgrow it eventually). I think next might be an 11-32 rear cassette to prevent getting shouted at up a hill.

So after talking myself out of buying a set of Prime 50mm clinchers for £441, have bought a few Ale clothes in the sale, and with extra codes, price matching here and there etc.

There are some good deals out there, but it takes a bit of hunting and patience.

Klimatico jersey - not sure about the fit on my perfetto or the Fiandre now I have lost weight, so this could be just the ticket for £64:
    Ale-Klimatik-K-Atmo-Rainproof-Short-Sleeve-Jersey-Yellow-Fluo.jpg
And thought I should at least venture into the Ale bib world, having never tried a pair.
    Ale-Graphics-PRR-Camo-Bib-Short-Green-Fluo-Yellow.jpg

From Wiggle, with a price match from PBK of £68 we have this beauty:

  • Expensive week.

Bought an newer iPad so that I can use other VR systems besides bkool along with an Apple TV box to link it with onto the big screen, GoPro hero5 session, and a DHB aeron hybrid soft shell.

Sent back an perfetto long sleeve though due to a poor fit.

Picked up a clock and picture to go in the garage as well...

From here, came from the US though, took about 8 days to be delivered.
I'm pleased with it and there's a 20% discount on the site with a decent choice.

Nice, looks like you can upload your own image too.

Did you not incur admin and customs charges?
    Thought the limit was £15.

Tbh, I didn't know it was coming from the US until I got the dispatch info, wasn't an issue and didn't get any further charges.

    Cheers.

Cool - well never seen that site before, did a bit more hunting around, found a face with green numbers, changed the background to yellow, and have added a couple of choice bicycles images instead of the stock item - order placed, will see what happens - wish me luck!

If it arrives ok, it can be a Christmas present from my 4 year old daughter to moi!

Sigma have them at £660 I think

Very good price - I already have a pair, just being nosey :-)
Not sure if it would have worked or if the price was the same yesterday, but Sigma had a 20% code that worked for yesterday only - would have made them £528! Probably excluded though, but I used it on some Ale kit.

Yes, they were excluded, the code only worked on their Sale items, not their black friday ones.

Seems fair to point out here that the Boardman MTB Pro pedals from Halfords weigh the same amount and cost a fraction of the price.

Damnit, couldn't hold my finger, and got a pair of Pearl Izumi Elite Amfib Cycle bibtights, in large, at 50% off. I hope the size is right, and that I got the chamois version. According to the reviews, these are lovely for the everlasting Scottish summer. We'll see...

    Double damnit!!!!!

The bib tights arrived this afternoon but the fit is weird. I got an L, same aas my other bibs from different brands, but there are foldings under my buttocks while standing. These disappear on the saddle, or rather the migrate to the front. It's not unlike pictures 1 & 8 in road.cc's review. The width seems fine, so I'm not sure replacing it for an M would work. Any comments?

EDIT: Since Pearl Izumi is still selling those in medium, for the same price, I'll buy that and return one/both depending on the fit.

EDIT2: And, of course, PI had run out of M-sized bib-tights, and cancelled the order. To keep, or not to keep, that is the question.

Vittoria CG Pave in 27mm for 24.99 from Wiggle for the CR1, along with a Lezyne pressure drive bracket for the revitalised Singlecross.

My rear Pave is now well worn and pretty squared off, but the front tyre still looks good with loads of tread. Figure I'll swap the front 25mm to the back due to the tight clearances, and stick the 27mm up front...
