its how much you tighten the QR thats the problem IME, its totally skewer pressure as the wheel slots in the same place, but Id say not even a full turn extra of pressure on the QR, and you seem to create either some toe in on the forks which puts the pads out at an angle that can create a slight oscillation/rubbing on the disc, to I managed somehow to get the pads so they were catching the spokes of the disc itself, at which point you slacken it all off and try again.0 -

That looks good. Shame they don't include the length of the body.

I think there's something wrong there. The axle of the wheel hub should be one solid element. Applying more pressure through the QR shouldn't change the angle of the forks at all. I can only assume there's an issue with the quality of the hub or the drop-outs that causes misalignment. If this is the case, I can (finally) see why people think TA is a good idea - but, to me, it's solving the wrong problem. Anyhow - we're waaay OT with this.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

I think I really want these - what are they like?
Bibs are fantastic, buying a second pair! Very good quality (better than Rapha) and half the price.
Haven't picked the top up yet, can't be arsed to walk to Holbourn...0 -
New lock on grips for my old MX Comp. For some unknown reason, it originally came with white grips. They got skanky quite quickly, so I've got black replacements, cos black is proper pro innit.0

That reminds me.. I bought two from Mantel for £70 each on their Black Friday deals and forgot to return the smaller one.. I wonder if Evans would accept it for an exchange in store.0 -

Have been keen to try these longer shorts with the fleecy part to the knee for a while, but gather fit can be a bit Cinderella-like so half expecting a swift return...we'll see. Been up in that there Londonium and had a wander around a few bike shops, Swift Cycles was one of them and accidently bought a Castelli cap for £16 which came in handy as it was a little damp on Wednesday.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Anti-seize should be used on stuff with screw thread to stop galvanic welding and the like (ie on steel bolts/pedals going into aluminum cranks) - it is not really made to go on components being clamped unless you are worried that it may rust together. You can use assembly paste for that but shouldn't need to unless component is carbon and you have a low torque limit on the bolts0
