So wish I'd seen that last large orange one, but in fairness, it was your post that reminded me that I ought to be searching for deals (my Bell Alchera is now 3 years old)... It would have matched my C162 pedals!

I'm not too thrilled about the colour of pale blue and white (last remaining colour at ~£55), but is the Rivale a good fit for "oval" heads?

Anything on the packaging showing when your one was made?

Yes, after 2 years of daily use mine is now down to a weeks riding before a recharge. When new I was getting around 10 days riding from one charge.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Prefer the chunker unit...will probably sell my 820 at some point and get a bolt too.

Mine never lasted on full even an hour and even after being sent away and refurbished it still just about does 30 mins on full before going amber. Similar story for my rear

Threw the packaging straight in the bin.

It's fits my oval-ish head really well. I have the Mantra too, really glad I changed from Kask to Met (still highly rate kask).

FYI: Mojito 272g, Rivale 260g, Mantra 250g, all size large.

    Another set of 105 pedals
I finally forced my pedals into my winter bike with a galled thread on the left crank, now I'm too scared to take them back off to put them on my nice bike

Thanks, decided to take a punt at the Cyan/white large yesterday, partly based on my pre-RTA Met Testagrossa fitting me well. I think I paid ~£40 for my Bell Alchera in LBS three years ago (Cycleworld on Thornhill Park Rd, discovered a few months back it had been renamed to be a Giant store), so £55 even for non-desirable colours was a good deal. It also dawned on me that the cyan would match my Funkier baggy shorts from Merlin quite well!

Bought some Endura gear at the same time (Hummvee shorts, Pakajak) and a spare 11-30 cassette.

Still wondering if I should have bought a £13 Endura gillet at the same time, but my ~2007 Endura Convert could still work fine as a not very waterproof gillet, it's simply lost most of the waterproof liner.

    Noice!
I really, really wanted a pair, but bought the regular black ones at a v. keen price. Lovely shoes that are wearing well.

And you get a dainty bag.

I have these in the black / green livery. Really comfy, stiff and don't look too bad either.

Hope you went up 1/2 a size (some go up a full size).

Bargain Castelli thermoflex arm warmers, (£11.99) and the same in knee warmers (£14.99), both with the flouro flash from CRC. Oh, and some front and rear Shimano v brake pipes with power modulators for the Singlecross, £1.20 each. Torn between tidying up to sell, or treating it to TRP CX9 brakes and some lighter hand-built wheels :?

]Nice condition Trek 730 multitrack;rides really nice and smooth like good steel should.

Only downer is the 'orrible gripshifts so will be sourcing some trigger shifters or going the whole hog and completely change the drivetrain to 10-speed(would need a wheel change though).

A 25 litre rucksack from Alpkit for the commute. Great piece of kit at a great price.
  • I bought a cheap cyclocross bike yesterday - a Merida Cyclocross 300 (2015 model).
I'm moving work, and my commute is going down from 20 miles through Nottingham city centre, to 10 miles along the river Trent / Beeston Canal.
So then today I have bought mudguards, and spare mounts for my lights. I'm looking forward to a slightly nicer view on the way into work, and I'll be able to do it more often as it's shorter (and I'm not fit)

Rapha Pro Team Long Sleeve Aero jersery for £60. Was looking for something to use the 20% off code you got entering the San Remo competition, and stumbled upon it by accident. Couldn't resist at that price when it was reduced from £150...

Couple of reduced ss jerseys from castelli café to use up loyalty points.

Rapha Core bundle of a pair bibs and a ss jersey for £96 using a code off Road General. Never had anything Rapha before.

That should be summer kit sorted.

Joe Blow Sport pump for Cambridge. Blimey, if I ever consolidate back to one "home" again (as is the plan this summer), I'm going to have an embarrassment of kit. I think my cycling sons are going to be the benefactors.

Medium should be fine. Rapha pro team stuff is a bit smaller, as you'd expect.

    Cool cheers.
  • Pair of GP 4000s II in a 28 to go on my Synapse (£56 the pair - wiggle), Aeron Winslam Gillet to match the lovely Aeron Long sleeved Roubaix jersey I just bought (in matching Orange and Navy - sounds nasty but it really isn't) At the other end of the Wiggle scale, a pair of lifeline prime race tyres in a 25 for my Cannondale 6 at a heady £12 each. I took a punt as they got excellent reviews on Road.cc and at 120 tpi they roll very nicely, grip seems more than adequate and given it's a dry weather bike shouldn't be an issue. They also look like counterfeit Continental tyres. In addition (I was in cheapskate mode) lifeline SPD SL cleats @ £5.69 - they work so thanks very much, and a lifeline out front mount for garmin. Made from aluminium and looks like a (slightly) beefed up K-edge mount - £12.34.
