Ah ha, you're cracking aren't you... I love it. All this talk of Viner's and piccies of Cervelo's, Pinarello's and new wheels has you drooling with anticipation.

    Suits you sir.

Jashburnham I am disappointed in you and your seriously dodgy use of apostrophes this morning - back to the classroom with you!

    I've got one!

Nice, but it needs white hoods...

I do like the Aero seatpost, and are those Record bottle cages?

Of course they are! At £97 per cage (bottle included) why doesn't everyone have Record cages? :D

Actually, no. They're ebay knock off copies. 15 g each. Search ebay for "carbon cage 15g" and you should find them. Quite reasonable.

On the "Pimp My RIde" front, obviously I could go the whole hog: white Hudz, white bar tape, white (FSA) stem, white saddle. But bearing in mind that bike cleaning is not high on my list of things that I want to do at the weekend, and this one is going to be taking some abuse, perhaps not

Ooooooh Jash I saw a review in Cycling Weekly of the new Ritchey 'wet white' stems and bars, and thought of you and your tarty ways...

I've toyed with the idea of a white bar/stem combo for a while, but given bars will be taped it's a tad pointless. Stem is on the radar though. Ritchey lose out with their black face plate. What I want is a white/red combo, I think Oval do 'em.

Anyway, next big splurge is on an Edge 705. Might pull the trigger this week.

I'm disappointed in you! You're not a REAL tart. ;)

And my edge 705 has sat on the sideboard in Essex since Xmas... waiting for the viner to arrive so Epic can fit it for me. I'm too lazy to attach it to another bike!

They're great. Was a bit annoying on HOTA, though. They changed the route due to ice so I had beeps every few minutes telling me to make a u-turn

Just bought a pair of Pro3 Race in red to match my bike and make me faster through those corners!

I thought I had better get some in after a flint completely slashed open the side wall of my front tyre on Sunday

Isn't the saddle just a wee bit uncomfortable, sitting nose up like that?

Yeah, I hadn't levelled it when I took the photo. It's now been taken off and replaced with one that isn't totally rubbish.

If anyone wants a selle italia saddle, BTW, drop me a line.

Did you get the extra mapping software as well? I like the look of this because at the moment I just try to memorise my route and take a cheat sheet of road names and pointers with me and twice now I have lost it when 40miles from base in an area I don't really know. This might save me from being alone and scared  :wink:

(Practically) New wheels: silver Ambrosio Excellight SSC rims on Ambrosio hubs. Practically because they've only done a few laps of a car park in a test ride.

And a Race Face Cadence chainset from Wiggle.

Both heavily discounted. Bonanza. (Wife doesn't know yet, so will have to employ the "logic" women employ when shopping in sales i.e. "but I saved x much, dear".)
    FCN 2-4.

"What happens when the hammer goes down, kids?"
    "It stays down, Daddy."

Got the wrong map on the widget, no use for the streets of London, sell it cheap to me and I'll live with the problem.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
