    A new bike.

Bought myself a Specialised Dolce and had my first proper ride on her on Tuesday. 16miles through some lovely quiet lanes to get used to it without cars everywhere.

Pair of Ultegra 6700 brakes. Unreasonably expensive but necessary because despite the new 6700 shifters being compatible with 105 brakes, I found they didn't actually work very well together. Could probably have been cheap and got away with just the front, but that would have been wrong somehow.

Next on the list is a new saddle for the fixer, current one is looking increasingly shabby. Also hurts my ass more than it used to, which I'm not particularly keen on.

Scary long list to follow. Not repeating this one in a hurry. In some particular order......

Stronglight A9 headset for friends old Peugeot Triathlonstronglight-a9-steel-headset-1183.jpg

3x SRAM PC951 chain (for MTB)

    Camelbak hydration pack camelbak-hydrobak-hydration-system-silver-55854.jpg

Camelbak podium bottle - need another now; looks pretty good.
    Disc brake cleaner

Next two items part of the ongoing fight to gain warm feet......
    Craft shoe protectors craft_toe_cover.jpg
DeFeet Slipstream shoe socks - basically like neoprene overshoes but for dry weather only. dfsc6-1.jpg

Smart Bespoke 1 watt front light. A big brother to my Smart 5 LEDs and a hell of a lot of output for a small light - and only £20. Can probably see with it - mind, not sure how long the batteries will last. 350__1_smart-bspoke-1841-med.jpg

    Fizik saddle bag 417hvpmckBL._SL500_.jpg

Santini leg warmers - size large. Couldn't get the arm warmers because the shop only had medium up and they were too loose! CYP202.winkit.santkne_m-399-75.jpg

Santini GXT King bibshorts. Oddly enough, Prendas didn't think the Santinis would fit me. When I tried them in the shop, medium, large and extra large all fitted. So I compromised and got large (blokes size......)SANTINI_GXT_QUEEN.gif

    Look Keo Max pedals PDRT0153250.jpg

Bike stand - similar to this Sinz%20Bike%20Stand.jpg
    Bikeshield Frame Protector extra-uk-bike-shield-full-pack.jpg

    And a bike!.................
    Faster than a tent.......

    Ultegra 10 Speed Cassette
Ultegra 53 and 39 Tooth Chainrings
    Ultegra 10 Speed Chain
2 x Park Super Patch Kits

It's been expensive, but the outcome is going to be awesom.

OUCH!!! Don't do things in halves do you?! :)

As for me, the brilliant Mrs CJ bought me the Bicycle Tool Kit from Lidls. It's the puppy's plums.

I've bought myself some Niobium 27mm wheels.

    And a bike!.................

I laughed when I saw that picture... for some reason I thought they had 'CRAP' written on them, not CRAFT. Just the angle of the picture.

    and... what bike?!?! pics!!!

    These ............

    shimano-m324-spd-pedals.jpg

my first spd's, I've always rejected the idea of clipless but this way I can't lose out, double sided means its still usable if I find I hate spd shoes.

    40% off from CR.

    Got me some...

+ Cheapo water bottle + cage so I don't have to keep lunging into me rucksack
+ Crud Roadracer Mudguards so I don't have a wet bum coming into work anymore
+ Shimano 105 rear brake to match the new one I got the other week
+ Kryptonite Kryptolok for a bit extra security

Does saving £25 a week on trains mean I can spend it allllll on bike gear

Good skilz. You can never have too many hats.

I picked up my Niobiums today. It was a potentially expensive pick-up, because I'm now considering 50mm full carbon wheels....

Just got some On-One track wheels to go on my Langster, which, if the specs are accurate, should be 1.3kg lighter than the OE wheelset!

Also got myself a 3TTT carbon drop bar from planet x for £35 to go with the 3T carbon seatpost I got from PBK for £19 the other day :D:D:D
