    Hi Gabriel,

thanks very much for your initial thoughts on it, sounds like a bloomin good package, especially for the price.

Do you happen to know if there is a risk of incurring duty charges, or is it a case of you may get lucky or you may not?

Am i right in thinking that once the light is on, you can't adjust the left to right orientation, only the angle to which the light goes up or down, by rotating it on the bars?

I look forward to the pics and your further impressions!

Feel free to PM me if you prefer,

    Cheers

You are right about that, you can only angle the light up or down by rotating it at the bars. That can be a problem for some setups but thankfully mine are very near the center of them.

I didn't pay any duty charges and as far as I am aware no one does when buying lights or other things from DealExtreme.

    They are excellent !

They were delivered by a south african in an unmarked van this morning .... I shouted SCAB as I closed the door :)

.............. and yes , they are very good , the inner glove can be used for dry autumn days.

In the up-coming months it will be far easier for drivers to see me giving them the finger ........... reflective abuse ... you can't beat it :)

(is currently off sick with a prolapsed vertebrae... no biking for the foreseeable )

I can't actually say as it will be a christmas gift for NGale. Needless to say it is cycling related and she should be happy with it.

    Dear DeFeet,

Now is a REALLY BAD TIME to not be stocked by the major online retailers. When exactly were you intending to get the bulk of your produce shipped?

(I got my socks btw, including 1 pair of Woolie Boolies, which immediately made me want some more. No chance.)

Hmm it is my lunch break... Evans on Rathbone Place (I think) is so rubbish though! Unless you want a pump or a tyre or a hybrid.

Also, I get a massive thrill from receiving packages through the post. All my colleagues take the p!ss out of me for getting multiple packages a week delivered to my desk.

Just be trawling ebay and BR for the finishing bits for my new commuter hybrid, full spec when its complete, but its looking tasty right now, all up price will be a LOT less than a nasty BSO from tesco/Halfrauds (apollo) etc....at about £230

I just recieved and fitted one of these:

    r2_combo.jpg

It looks somewhat less than sexy, but I think it may solve my numb genitalia problem, which was causing me concern.

I sat down, and had a think about it, and I decided there was just no way one of those skinny little perches designed for the skinny little arses of proper cyclists was ever going to hold my bulk up properly.

Only been out on it for 10 minutes or so, but it certainly feels like it's taking the weight off my perineum.

Some brake pads and a chain checker - both from ebay, very dull.

Considering more 'be seen' lights. Even though I'm only on the road for 10 minutes or so in the evening it's very busy, pitch black and I really don't trust the drivers in a hurry to get home.

50 AA & 50 AAA duracell powercell batteries for the sum of £25, meant to buy AAs only but noticed the AAA weren't AAs after I hit BIN

If somebody needs some AAAs let me know and we can come to some arrangement.
