Happy 12000 everyone. That's a lot of ranting0 -
A friend has gone from owning just a Trek Hybrid to now owning a Felt F95 and a Felt F65x as well as the Trek. He has just bought a Garmin 1000 after a little prompting from me. This means I'm going to have to buy an Edge 1000 too.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

[*]My bike didn't let go of my left foot clip - ending up with a slow motion left fall into an undignified heap on the floor
Your left cleat on the bottom of your shoe is loose. Probably.Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.0 -

No - the opposite actually - they're new ones, so are a bit stiffer. Not that they've been a problem, but I wasn't really concentrating properly when I stopped!Cannondale CAADX Tiagra 2017

Left early today as I had to pick the kids up.
First puncture on the Kings Road. Cube of safety glass right through the rear tyre: 5mm x 5mm x 5mm leaves a big hole.
Second puncture between Molesey and Walton. I do the last 2 miles on the shared usage path putting all my weigh on the fron tyre.
Get home and a quick shower before jumping on the Brompton to collect the car from the station car park. I'm running late.
Third puncture about half a mile in, the back tyre is soft, but I'm half way there so weight in the front if the bike and I'll nurse it.
Fourth puncture when I go through a puddle that turns out to be a pot hole 100 yards from the station. All the weight on the front means that tube just bursts.
And it was raining.
And because the strike has been called off I probably have to fix them and go to the office tomorrow.
I'm going to drink a load of cider and think about it.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

If you like I can work from home tomorrow in sympathy.
Or cycle in. They've just finished resurfacing a stretch and it's lovely and smooth now; plus the country lanes are quiet at the moment.Chunky Cyclists need your love too! :-)

Usual headwind in to work but with a bit more force I can deal with.
Punctured by a sharp piece of stone and me taking absolutely ages to sort it out.
Nagging lower back pain/cramp came back since last Thursday: I changed my seat recently and that is probably causing the issue but I can already see that it will be a painful ride home :evil:0 -

Not bothered about working from home. I just didn't want to traipse all the way out Brentwood for training in a system I already know how to use. Will cycle in anyway.Kinesis Racelite 4s disc

Punctured rear tyre about a mile in to my commute home on Monday - thought it was a bit too much like hard work. Quickly whip the old tube out and as it was raining I was less than thorough at clearing the offending item (a big lump of safety glass) - a piece of glass, and ended up puncturing my only replacement tube too. This was on CS8 Eastbound just before Vauxhall Bridge and no bugger even stopped to ask if I was ok. Crossed the road as there was more cycling traffic going that way, and some friendly chap called Gordon helped me out, giving me a tube and getting every little bit of flint and glass out. The inner tube of life. Needless to say I have two spare tubes now. I also now know my hand pump is absolutely shit. Got a delivery of CO2 cartridges arriving today which will solve that issue.0

After reading your replies to this, how can I say I'm not surprised by the single minded idiots that can't or won't believe this. Are they the same people who wouldn't even think of looking at the women's forum to help give some advice?
Despite the good of some people - the willingness to put something back into the sport, and help others - there are plenty of complete twats out there.
DID ANY SINGLE ONE OF YOU READ HER OTHER BLOG POSTS? Let me guess. NO. Go back for another look.
Now this makes me laugh. She is a size 12. How you call that fat is beyond me. She was also PHYSICALLY AND VERBALLY ABUSED a few years ago. If you have never come across anyone who this has happened too - them aren't you lucky.
Do you get this?0 -
It's a good rant, but can't help thinking you've posted it in the wrong thread? Welcome to the forum, BTW.- - - - - - - - - -

Fed up waiting for people to respond to posts. I mean, all they have to do is find an unusual object and post the bleedin pic...

Thought the radiator was on in the office, so left my socks there to dry and they're still wet. :x0

Not long left of the school holidays. Was looking forward to a nice clear run from Wimbledon to Putney Hill. Did I get one? No. Came to a massive queue of metal boxes thanks to roadworks and temporary lights. At least they're fixing the potholes though???? Nope. No such luck.
Also Excel 2010. After 5 years you'd think they could have fixed the stability issues.... Nope.0 -

:-)Rule #9//If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
I had my own personal deluge this evening - Limehouse to Stratford was ridiculous. Had to stop for the very worst of it cos I just could not see and my brakes were non-existant. Posting the above made me feel whimpy so soon after I soldiered on. Five miles further on and it was clear and as if there had been no rain all day
After the canal path my socks and my kit matched nicely - muddy brown0 -
