I can't make this week (night shift), but I'm thinking about next week if that's ok?
How fast do you lads go on this ride as I'm worried about not being quick enough?0 -
Am going to have to give this one a miss too I'm afraid. Went for a few quiet drinks last night and didn't get home til 4:30 this afternoon  Bike is still in bits."The problem was, I was still using my eyes even though I had them shut"
Demoted to commuting duty

Cheers I'll try and make next sunday then, if I'm too slow then I'll just drop off the back. I normally average about 14-15 mph on my commute in London if that's any help to how fast (slow) I go.0 -

Well cjw and I had a great ride around this morning we were out for over two hours. The country Park was great first thing. Everything looked very pretty with all the ice, and a fair bit of snow.
The Park got very busy towards the end of our ride, lots of family’s and other user groups on the site.
When we stopped at the centre to have our coffee I had a quick chat with my Wildlife Trust colleague. (We own the shop there not the land)
The member of staff there was telling me that there have been a lot of very unsavoury events occurring on the park involving mountain bikers!
Lots of riders not giving a monkeys were they ride, and being very discourteous to other users.
This is just the kind of behaviour that gives us a bad name and will only lead to us being singled out for further persecution. I am not going to get on my high horse; I just hope that people that use this web site are always courteous and polite to all they meet, because there is quite obviously a small minority out there really getting the backs up of the people who have the power to make our lives very difficult.
Please play nicely.0 -
I went over there on Saturday morning for only about 30-40 mins but had a really good time. I will try and make it some time soon so I can meet up with every one.0

I'm usually there every Sunday at 9am but I stacked it on Thursday in North Thorndon.
I was having a good crash when a root decided to intervene and attack the back of my ribs. Now where's that "Get Out of Crash Free Card"0 -
I'm going to be there Sunday at around 9am as long as the weather isn't too bad.0
-
i ll be there to as long as bike repaired in time.0

Hi guys, went over Thorndon today, very, very muddy indeed, especially the bit of singletrack that runs alongside the golf course, but managed to stay on so that's always a bonus.
Heavy rain forcast for tomorrow, so I can imagine how it will be at the weekend with the extra "traffic". Maybe see some of you over there soon.http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=12851595

At the moment, the weather is looking not too bad to possibly good for Sunday, but we all know how that can change day by day !
http://uk.weather.com is a pretty good site.
Anyway, as long as its not too bad I'll be there this Sunday. Plus another at least two riding buddies I should think.
Anyone else ?0 -
Yes, perhaps two/three of us, and I'll be hungover, but that never stoppped me.
Time?0 -
Usual time, 9 O'clock ?
I'll be in a bergundy Escort Estate with a Yeti (bike, not a passenger).0 -
Won't be there in the morning, but i am going to be riding around the reserve in the afternoon.0
