Sold my Trance X5 around a week ago. Otherwise I would have brought that. I suppose I could bring the wife's Specialized Myka hardtail ...... although following what I just did to my bike she probably wouldn't let me

I've broken enough bikes for this week  Think I'll save it for next week. If the LBS gets the wheels sorted by Sunday I'll be over Thorndon Monday night after work I think. The trails were very good the other day. Nice & dry & fast  Your right, have to make the most of it

Gutted I'm missing todays ride. Great conditions. The trails will be bone dry al round I'm sure. I was really up for it this weekend. Just hope I get my wheels back tomorrow, nice & straight, ready to ride again.

Well I finished early because I had to get back to the kids and after my little mis hap I kept ducking and weaving when I didn't have to.
Wifey said I could make it a more regular thing just not every week.
Always wear your glasses on the trails people!

Picked my wheels up yesterday afternoon. The LBS said the front wheel was so bad it may need a new rim before long. Anyway it seems okay now ........ I'm just wondering what will happen to stop me making it to Thorndon this weekend!? :?
  • there is no ride this week end !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cry: only joking

Well, I found. What is it they say about tempting fate? My wheel didn't survive beyond braking hard for the first time, which caused it to be pulled so far over that the tyre was rubbing on the inside of the fork. I've also discovered that I actually bent my forks in the crash & now the wheel doesn't sit centred in the forks. FFS!! I'll probably have it fixed just in time to miss all the good weather!! It never rains it pours!
