There a lot of trails over at Thorndon they ride regulaly from there at weekends.
We might go out again this week if the snow stays

Thorndon was more fun than usual due to the snow and icy ruts :D

I spent 3hrs riding there, it's much bigger than I thought. Unfortunately the best trails are marked as walkers only.

    Who does regular rides there?

Well that would be me, I ride there about 3 times per week.

Just come back from a 5 hour walk over there, it was pretty busy.

During the week at the moment my rides are a bit ad hoc but I can normally be pinned down to a Saturday morning ride, Sundays there is a lot more traffic over there.

Rode last night, went out to tackle all the long hauls and steep slopes in the snow, just to see what was ridable.

Made it to the top of all of them, but the old pins won't take a second night of abuse.

Spent 2 1/2 hours riding and could have stayed out longer, but my dinner by 8:30 was calling me home.

Sorry to hear that. Did that bit of snow have some dog shit wrapped round it, hence the infection?

definately worth a go down there, been there a few times, to make a loop of it though, you would have to do a bit of road work.

sorry i couldnt join you guys, yet again, way too hungover and didnt want to risk driving to thorndon.

may try and get out of going to the brush this week and have an early night.
